LisaDiane (OP) User ID: 27999563 United States 11/29/2012 01:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks to everyone who has responded. I have learned lots of good information. I read about the need for iodine after Fukishima and have rubbed tincture of iodine on my wrist and stomach occasionally. It did show that I was deficient in iodine... But through research I have learned that I need much more iodine each day. I purchased Iodoral pills (combination iodine and potassium iodide) from a local health food store. I forgot to mention that my weight began ballooning up the past three months as my temperature went down. I gained 13 pounds in the last 3 months, so I got serious about my thyroid, and my low temperature. FYI I took thyroid tests, and traditional doctors said I was fine... which is BS. I have a alternative speciaslist who works on metabolic disorders who is helping me piece this puzzle somewhat, but his progress is too slow for me. I spend much time researching solutions... but I have found no medical research that suggests that my thyroid is related to Fukishima. But knew that GLP would help me uncover the answer. LisaDiane |

MANY posters abandon their threads in a short time, especially if it drifts off of page one ! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28447870 Eagle I have no intention of abandoning this thread. 90% of people are iodine deficient and my bet is that a ton of people have malfunctioning thyroids (like me) since Fukishima. Look up Jim Bakker show products see seychelles water Radiation filter.....watch show from today or yesterday ! Get this now!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28728904 I do know that floride in the water affects the thyroid gland. Personally , I do have a carbon water filter on my tap. And about 2 years ago, I received as a gift, a portable water filter that can be used on any type of water.... stream water, etc. I also believe that this is the same brand that Jim Bakker promotes, but I had no idea that this filter would remove radiation. I am not sure where that portable water filter is stored, but will look later when I have the time and will see if my unit does this. Thanks for your support of my thread. LisaDiane |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4896045 2mo old 97.0° 22mo old 97.4° 40yo Male 97.2° 36yo Female 97.4° Location: Southern California We first noticed our temps were running low at the beginning of the year. They have always been around 98.7°, unless of course we were sick. Thinking it was a bad thermometer, we purchased a Temporal Scanner Inferred Thermometer to replace the one we had. My temperature tends to stay around 95.0° and my wife's tends to stay around 97.0°. We used to hate the cold and would keep our house at 78.0°, but towards the end of last year, we began to lower the thermostat. The temp we keep our house at now, would have been very uncomfortable to us 2 years ago. **Dirt (by itself) should not stick to a magnet, does yours?** ° The old school glass thermometers are banned, but gave good readings. My new-style battery ones always show 97-point-something, and I know it is not correct. I've tried four or five different styles of these, went back to old style, temp 98.6 like always. |

Despite us all having 98.6 in the past. Quoting: LisaDiane This has resulted in thyroid problems, weight gain, etc. Has anyone had this experience? Or know of the true cause or remedies? This doe snot result in thyroid problems. It's BECAUSE of thyroid problems. We don't get enough iodine. And what's out there isn't' absorbed well since the iodine receptor sites are filled with the other halides, like the bromine from bread, and the fluoride and chlorine fro the water. I personally filter out fluoride, don't eat bread, and supplement with iodine and iodide. But that's just me. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions. |

I do not know why, and the only time it caused a problem was when I wanted to go home from school but "only had a small fever" at 99. Since that was 20 years ago, I think I am safe. Quoting: Meggarea My temperature is below average. Always been that way for as long as I can remember. I feel feverish when it's at 98.6 or just above. Quoting: SeanoftheDead Me too, for as long as I can remember - low. It's hard to convince people you are feverish at 98.7, but that is a huge increase in temp for some of us! I may buy an ear thermometer as I believe they are more accurate. there is a rhythm to your temperature throughout the day. if it was 95.8 in the AM and rose to 96.2, it is showing the normal increase, which usually continues til about 4 in the afternoon. then it goes down again slightly. you are right to try another thermometer. Use the same one on any given day. so your baseline is low, but the fact that it went up is normal. this is in addition to temp elevations due to exercise or whatever - it is just a normal pattern. My husband's is 98.6 and rarely varies even when he feels sick. We were not always in the same environment. He is retired USN and went on several extended deployments during our marriage. Heredity?
