Sorry, the sun attributes less than half of the tidal effect.

Tidal effect falls off by the cube of the DISTANCE.

It's G-FORCE is around 175 times larger, but it's TIDAL FORCE is around 0.47 times smaller. The tidal effect is distance cubed...g-force is distance squared.
