Asked why I was paying cash!! WTF

Anyone else been asked this? In the uk or anywhere else?

I have not because unfortunately I have no cash

But I did notice when I have cash they act like a hundred dollar bill is a million to break it! Come on it's 2012 and it takes a hundo to fill my suv for god sakes.

Next time they ask say Why do you ask stupid questions! Info mining at it's best and most sheeple will actually answer honestly. You are correct cashless is their next step to global currency.

The other day I was was using some nickles to pay for 3.00 worth of items at the store, just nickles, I like to use them. The cashier told me it was "against the rules" to accept them if not wrapped.

I said "Can you give we a wrapper"? She said "no".

I wanted to explain to her that coins are actual money (specie) and that paper money is debt.

but I just smiled, and knowingly winked at her and said "Thanks for breaking the rules for me." and she said "no problem!" in a defeated way, like as if I confused her.

I think she was just stupid or lazy, but what was funny was that the guy behind me had a bunch of coins unwrapped with which to pay, as well! Ha!

Exactly how by paying cash and not giving them any personal information is that going to get us on a list?

My dad walked into a car dealership here in the states he was looking at a 38k SUV he found the one he wanted etc. He told the dealer he was paying in cash and they refused to let him test drive the vehicle. I was with him and thought it was odd because plenty of people test drive before financing. Anyway we walked out went 30mins down the road and they were more then happy to get the sale.

Money will be no longer ? are we going to toward the next step RFID CHIP IN BODY ?

For instance getting auto repair where they have your driver license/registration and you paying a large bill by cash....or medical care....I paid an emergency room visit by cash and they got all nosy.....

A while ago I was Walmart and paid cash for a very big order. You'd think they never saw cash before.

First inspected each bill ($300 worth) then couldn't figure out how much change I get back. Then, she had to call the manager because she didn't have enough change in her register.

People in line behind me, I turned to them and said....I can't believe they can't handle purchases with cash. It's not like I'm using a credit card that was over limit, it's just plain CASH.

Imagine my anger and dismay when, for anyone standing there to hear, a bank teller actually asked me what I was planning to use a cash withdrawal for. It was a relatively unremarkable amount (few thousand dollars), and to add insult to injury, the bank gave me grief about not having my cash on hand in the first place.

I was asked why I was paying with cash recently. I replied that I am paying with cash because cash is what I have in my wallet. You do accept cash don't you? Then the clerk looked at me rather sheepishly and said of course we do.

I would ask her to take my after:

Nor do you probably think about it. And if you do,
then I'm sure you can agree that a) surveys only
benefit the algorithm, and b) that ignorance isn't
bliss, and in order to hedge falling political
expectations disguised as a legitimate stock exchange,
your wages, your morals, your aspirations, and not only yours but others in every part of the country are

Anybody in the US know if businesses there have to pay to deposit cash and cheques into they're business bank accounts? They do here in the UK

OP, I hope you told them where to shove their nosey questions.

In fact, I would have been so incensed I would have have just taken my business elsewhere where paying by cash isn't questioned or seen as something dirty, and it's clear things are being pushed in that direction, cashless society, mark of the beast et al. No doubt they asked you this in full earshot of other shoppers too. WTF has it got to do with anyone else?

I don't like paying for stuff in person with a card unless I really have to, for a number of reasons, all of those reasons are perfectly valid and I shouldn't have to justify doing so to anybody else for any reason.

As far as I'm concerned, fuck any shop that questions you like this, and shop elsewhere.
