Care to explain? This should be interesting. Well, with probability and statistics one is admitting they don't know the definite answer and can only give an estimated guess by making odds. The absence of definitively knowing before the outcome is, ergo, some amount of ignorance. Quoting: TheSeventhGate Very true, very true indeed......like I told my wife and kids last night at the dinner table, if we one the chances of continuing our almost 20 year marriage would be iffy at best after the winnings set in. Way to make your wife and kids feel secure buddy. |

The houses there are mostly 1 million+ but there are lesser priced ones. It's a small mountain community, but extremely nice houses and golf courses. |

I'll say I can barely stand you guys now, if I'm rich I'll replace you with a bunch of whores and be on my way. I can't imagine really believing no money issues would create grief somehow. |

Quoting: TheSeventhGate No one rally owns anything very longs. We are all caretakers of other people's shit and when we pass on, someone else plays with our shit till they pass on. In the end, the world's governments own eveything and we just lease it in the form of taxes. All property returns back to them after it is taxed over and over and over. I have an antique store that is chaulk full of other people's shit. It's all property that sheep lust over and die trying to pay off then when they croak, their decendants pawn it for pennies and it ends up in my store to get taxes some more. The material world is nothing more than a temporary distraction from the spiritual world. A scam. Very few people on Earth today will ever leave anything of real substance behind. Even the kids they leave behind are turning out to be just more junk. |

I agree, it usually fucks up trailer-trash-type winners, but I bet there are plenty of big lottery winners that sat down and planned what they would do with the loot, carried through on the plan and live quite happily. |

Care to explain? This should be interesting. No one wins the jackpot. the "winners" you see are paid a little chunk of money to say they won. This makes you think you have a chance at winning, and you will continue to buy more tickets in vain. I know 1 Person that won the lottery back in the early 90s and another person that won the little lotto about 5 years ago. It was my husbands bets friends brother, he worked at a company for 20 years at a chemical plant..1 month after winning he was diagnosed with cancer, he died 6 months later, his wife died the following year on the same day her husband died..TRUE STORY!! |

(Figures from my state. Illinois. Correct me if the national lotteries pay out more.) That means for every $1 that you put into the lottery, you have a expected payout based on probability of 35 cents. I won't play slot machines because they take 6 cents. This makes the lottery the worst investment, (If you can call it that.) that you can make. I will only buy one ticket when the lottery rolls over many times and goes over $100 million. The payout becomes better at that time. I went into a liquor store a few weeks ago and saw a woman buying $20 in scratch off tickets. Then she bought a half pint of jack. She should have bought no lottery tickets and bought a quart of jack. The lottery is a tax on the poor or stupid. |

You don't have to play the lottery. If a person spends all thier money on scratch offs and booze, it is thier right to do so. Being a free country and all. |
