I don't believe evolved dependency of religion would obliterate the constitution. Religion was very important to people when the constitution was founded. I'm not saying religion isn't important these days but more and more people are able to survive and be happy without claiming to be a part of religions these days.

I still believe people understand the basic human rights and can apply these to accommodate the lack of dedicated religion in society today. I think it's foolish to claim without religion chaos would ensure. It would only happen if your that weak of a mind to let something like that drive you to chaos.

As a small business owner, it's all my clients talk about. Security for doors and fortifying door jambs is a hot commodity right now. Trust me OP, there is a lot of people who harbor thoughts of hunkering down and prepping.
