How much milk do we really need to drink? Quoting: INK3 I use canned milk in mine, easy to keep around, mix in a bit of water, anyway, here's a recipe for way less than a dollar a loaf, probably only about 30 cents or so. [link to breadbaking.about.com] Might want to think about a solar oven as well or..... "Honey have you seen the electric bill this month? It's up by $40!" Think about this, my pet theory. It's going to cost the same no matter what you do. They have you by the short hairs and they will not let go. Bake your own bread? Check the electric bill. Solar? End cost is same as grid power. Hybrid? End cost with payments same as non-hybrid. Don't forget the eventual battery replacement costs. We are royally screwed and we did it to ourselves. Went to Stop and Shop yesterday and they have removed about 80% of their name brand bread in favor of the S&S house brand. No more Homepride Bread. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16088471 Okay, I like to eat simple but well so at Stop and Shop I get a loaf of Ezekiel Bread (in the freezer section) for about $5.99. But I'm getting ready to make the famous no-knead bread using Einkorn flour ($4.20) for 2lbs of flour. Most breads in the store are full of additives. not to mention gmo wheat which will give you morgellons |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28700568 Germany 11/29/2012 05:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Milk is an Unhealthy Drink: Shockingly Untold Truths Western populations consume over gallons of milk as a primary source for calcium, vitamin D and other essential minerals vital for building healthy bones and thus might be expected to decrease the risk of hip fracture and/or osteoporosis, and yet the more milk and dairy products they consume the higher the occurrence of obesity, osteoporosis, cancer, acne, heart disease, constipation, diabetes and irritable bowel syndrome among them. We all have grown to believe that consuming dairy foods can increase our body absorption of both calcium and vitamin D that many of us are unaware that milk is the most polluted and unhealthy drink that left us many negative health effects. Milk and other dairy foods are widely consumed today, and thus they’ve occupied the large parts of your diet, but are they really healthy foods for your daily consumption? Many of us have grown to consume milk and milk products (such as cheese, yogurt) for calcium and essential minerals vital for building healthy bones that we’ve not given second thought to the negative effects of milk. Even the milk producers exaggeratedly advocate the health benefits of drinking milk, in terms of its calcium, vitamin D and other nutrients which I think is part of a dairy industry myth. Not a pride or money thing. Just always assumed name brands used top quality ingredients and best tasting. I was so, so, very wrong. I find many store brands (Albertsons, Kirkland, Fred Meyer's and Safeway) are just the same if not better sometimes. There's a learning curve of shorts. Some store brands and off brands are just awful though. Last Edited by deanoZXT on 11/29/2012 05:27 PM -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

Until we rise up and smash their printing presses.. they'll keep turning it out and pretending it's worth something. Most people won't get it until they're wallet becomes a wheel-barrel.. & even then we'll still be hearing the same old response. "Well you know.. it is what it is." We need more then a few "Ignorant Hippies" to turn this around.. it's time for pitch forks and torches. |
