Could be but if it's been 10 years it's already too late to treat. They need to treat it before the symptoms start to surface.

You should still have it diagnosed by a doctor. You may qualify as disabled now or someday in the future. If you work outside for a living you may be able to put in a worker's comp claim. You might not get it but it's worth a try when you're too sick to work one day in the future.

Re: do u think i could have Lyme Disease?
Yes, it does sound like Lyme disease..but it's not too late to be treated...
Try to find a Lyme literate doctor or naturopath...
Many of us here in New England have it...just hard to find docs who will treat us because health insurance companies dictate a few weeks of doxycyclene and that's it..
Accupuncture helps the symptoms..
Wish I could tell you more..I'm struggling too.u2efine

Chris Hanson: do you recall whether you had a "target lesion" or " tigers eye " spred from the site of the bite?...and were you out in the woods hunting or just enjoying the wilderness, where deer habitate?....Doxycyline is good, caught early, I don't know about 10 years after.
just waiting for the SHTF...been watching the USA go into the sewer for 52 years.tried to fight the gun grabbers, had some victories...tried to fight corrupt politicians as a delegate to the Republican party...found out it's all BS

Re: do u think i could have Lyme Disease?
I live with a lot of your symptoms daily and pain behind one knee.

I have no insurance but i've read a little about some of the symptoms.

Did you, by any chance get the flu before any of this started? I've read any of the Fibromyalgia symptoms, can start with the common flu. Did you ever get a bite?

I also read that a lot of these debilitating diseases can start as one thing and turn into another, and that most of these symptoms are all in the same family. Some immune problem is going on. Very hard to diagnose,

I dont know what i have but i start my day in complete and total pain. I end them in pain.

My first thought was aspartame poisoning. My second thought is vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

Cut out fake sugars, high fructos corn syrup...
get some vit. C, B12, iron, MSM etc

You need to get your immune system working correctly!

Do you have any more pains in joints. Such as back, ribs, hips, knees, ankles, elbows, wrists. Because if more joints are affected it could also be rheumatoid athritis. It's also an anti immune disorder where your immune system attacks your joints and organs.

Re: do u think i could have Lyme Disease?
Most of these symptoms originate in the head, so my first guess would be something wrong with your teeth or gums. Some kinds of infections lodge in the gums (experience, not science) and can create an awful lot of problems.

Check out Oil Pulling for this.

If your joints were affected I would be more convinced it is Lyme disease as it tends to attack weak spots, such as joints, but it also lingers in the body, sometimes for years, before making itself known. Also, it has been misdiagnosed as about 40 different diseases, such as Crohn's, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, flu, and Fibromialgia.

If it is Lyme disease - Ledum Pal. - This comes as a homeopathic remedy and is thought to be sovereign against Lyme. I have used it. It works. If you try it and your symtoms go away, and they should right away, then you know for sure it's Lyme disease.

Re: do u think i could have Lyme Disease?
Yes I do! You need to get tested for co-infections as well. I have Lyme, Bartonella, Rickettsia and mycoplasma fermentans. I was first diagnosed with the lazy term Fibromyalgia. I also have chronic sinus issues...not your average sinus stuff either. We are trying to get it recognised here in Oz. I had to send my blood to California!

Re: do u think i could have Lyme Disease?
I totally agree with the posters who said yes, this sounds like Lyme ... and yes, get tested through IgeneX in CA, for Lyme and coinfections.

It is never too late to treat it, though it isn't exactly curable in its late stages, it is possible to get a LOT better.

I've had it since 1988.

Have some blood work done. The sooner the better.

You could have been bitten and never noticed the bite.

The joint pain will not go away, but you can manage it with natural herbs.

It is never too late! It took me 10yrs before they found out that I had Lyme. Now granted it would have been better if I had been treated right after I was bit but what can you do? I am thankful I have a great doctor and getting treated.

Re: do u think i could have Lyme Disease?
Yes find a Lyme Literate MD
Ask for a CD-57 blood test as well as the Lyme panel from Igenex labs

Also make sure to have your vitamin D and magnesium levels checked. Many with Lyme have extremely low levels

There are many natural therapies in addition to Antibiotics that have been shown to help many but as with anything your mileage may vary

Lyme disease is caused by a spirochete bacterium known as Borreila burgdorferi. Because of it's corkscrew shape it can easily burrow into cellular tissues and hide out from the immune system. There is even evidence which shows it can go dormant for many years. The longer you have the bacteria the more damage it can do.
