The POPULARITY of the COCONUT reaches ALL-TIME HIGH! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16413797 United States 11/30/2012 12:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Coconut Water has been heavily advertised on the market for a while now (not to be mixed up with Coconut Milk) as a hot health-drink, but did you know that it has the SAME electrolyte balance as our blood plasma? Coconut Water is one of the biggest sources of electrolytes out there and is almost identical in composition to human blood plasma. In fact, during the Pacific War, coconut water (taken straight from a coconut, it acts as a universal donor) was used as emergency blood plasma transfusions to wounded soldiers. Apparently, this is still done in some third world countries. Wild, right? Since coconut water is always nestled into a coconut, it is always sterile and ready to drink (or inject), because the layers of the coconut act as a filter. (Disclaimer: these are facts about what some people do in EMERGENCY situations, mainly in the past. In today's world, coconut water is around for us to rejuvenate our blood with electrolytes by drinking it.) [link to www.styleandwisdom.com] My Dad told me this too. It was also later confirmed by my uncle. But seriously, this is correct and I have a newfound love of coconut water. |

We cook with refined coconut oil, which is awesome! A little goes a long way and there is no "coconut" flavour, just all the benefits that come with it. We also use coconut oil for oil pulling with a lot of success too! |

But yeah, they are finding many benefits to coconut oil, but of course the establishment wants to tell you it's bad for you and then propagate the lie that their GMO oils like canola or soy are good for you. |

I have been using coconut oil for the past 12 years for everything. Alternative medicine has used it for a very long time and I'm happy it's starting to become more mainstream. It's amazing. My dentist now recommends oil pulling to all her patients. Of course she is a wholistic dentist so she knows her stuff. :) |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28751458 You either are a disinfo agent or have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Soap? WTF are you talking about? Also, there is NOTHING better for diaper rash then coconut oil. I mean NOTHING! Be careful though for some strange reason when I put it on my kids in the morning the diaper seems like it explodes? It's weird but works amazingly. And put it on your dry skin. It'll turn your skin back to being baby soft. Coconut oil is definitely an anti-fungal, I have used it for this before. I know my skin gets really, really dry in the winter though and while I use it to moisturize my face, I think my skin personally needs something a bit heavier for the dry air. Was going to do olive oil after coconut oil. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28751458 Couldn't be farther from the truth. It is the best oil for consumption - both internally and topically (eat and apply to skin). If you don't use animal fat for frying and high heat cooking, the *only* oil you should be using is EVCO (extra virgin coconut oil; cold pressed, not centrifuge extracted). With all due respect, you should really do some research into this and not swallow, unchallenged, what the MSM and Big Pharma feed you and try to scare you with. There must be a law that people can't lie. |
