The winds just started right now (3am) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28603760 Modesto. Check the radar, I'm just on the edge That's what happened here in south central Alaska, it started earlier for us around noon, but the winds came on all of a sudden like 40 mph from nothing. It's been blowing ever since. No snow or rain though. |

I'm in Palmer and our winds are very strong, tomorrow we're suppose to have gusts up to 80 mph. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28746886 Wow!! My son is serving in Anchorage. He lives on the base. Hope everyone stays safe. Real truth is self evident... |

Glad we don't have snow on the ground now or it would be bad with drifts and whiteouts. Stay safe west coast!!! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1634496 United States 12/01/2012 06:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So far this storm has been tame (Monterey CA) and not at all doom worthy. Still, we have two days worth of wet heading our way --- Come Sunday I may next be writing from the bottom of the bay. **From the 'Bad Memories' file: when i first moved here i was thrilled to be near the Monterey Bay Aquarium (as it was featured in one of my fave films, "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home"). Upon my first visit to the aquarium I was shocked and dismayed to find out there wasn't a single whale to be found in the joint! Damn you Hollywood! Fooled again! |
