The restructuring plan includes shuttering some sites outside Germany, and opening a new LED-assembly plant in China that is expected to add 1,700 jobs by 2017.

This is going on world over, not just one company in Germany.

There have been thousands of job losses to China here is Aus.

But retail is the great hope, Oh wait, that is fucked too?
Oh well, tourism. Oh 150,000 jobs are not available? Shit.
Defence? Nope, cutbacks there.
Health? Tray again.
Teaching? They shut the TAFEs?
Lucky we have mining....................

i just replaced 37 bulbs at work and the total cost was over $150...seems like the bulb business is profitable
