Anonymous Coward User ID: 22111432 Australia 12/03/2012 08:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Update: Quoting: BoroBoro 8:40pm Philippine Time as of this post. We started to get a little wind maybe 10 to 15mph and it has been raining moderate for the past 45 min or so, then, just a few minutes ago everything stopped. No rain and no wind just a deathly quiet. We still have a few hours before the nasty part starts to hit. Boro no reports from the south palau islands yet so we cannot confirm the intensity of the system around the eyewall, its still rated as a category 5 typhoon, your not going to survive this unless you make sure you move to the strongest parts of your house away from the side of the strongest winds you need to tell those around you how strong this thing is really going to be ,that is going to be stronger than what you execpt by a long way especially if you get anywhere near the eye and also the eye does not mean the cyclone is over but may give you time to seek better shelter if you need it |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28871789 United States 12/03/2012 09:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ha Ha, Quoting: BoroBoro This is the Philippines. No gov is going to come and save. They have so little resources, they can barely keep their workers paid enough to have three meals a day. Boro and you know this and don't have at least a few months worth of staples stashed away ? you are a democrat I suspect Not everyone in this world is paranoid enough to have "a few months worth of staples stashed away". That's a thing for paranoids. Been without power and or snowed in for 21 days + 4 times in my life. Had accidents at work and had severely reduced income twice as well for months. Been laid off and again severely reduced income . With inflation over the last few years , have saved thousands in food costs , buying longterm staple food items. So yeah call me paranoid if you like , people like you are the reason I pick up insecticides at flea markets . You may get my stash , however there will be some shall we say curious surprises in it , for vermin who are unprepared zombie sheep parasites. So fuck you very much and have a nice day |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21937622 Australia 12/03/2012 10:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am in Agusan Del Sur. About 60km (as the bird flys) from the coast town of Barobo. we are surrounded by mountains, so that will help with wind, but flooding is expected. Boro yes it will impact your area very severly tonight and well into the morning its also accelerating west so the eye should pass just south of your area you will be north of the destructive line meaning you could be very isolated in the next few days the event will continue for a few days too |

Hopefully god will protect him for hes only there to spread his word. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5152971 Probably not and probably not. The Pi doesn't need anymore missionaries. They're like 99.99% God fearing people. It's the only Christian country in the far east. |

Boro yes it will impact your area very severly tonight and well into the morning its also accelerating west so the eye should pass just south of your area you will be north of the destructive line meaning you could be very isolated in the next few days the event will continue for a few days too Yes. Thanks again for the info. lol on the isolation. I have been here for 6 years in this tiny farming area, so isolation has become normal life. Luckily we really don't need any outside help. If the roads North and south of us disappeared it would be ok, as we rarely ever use them and don't rely on them for supplies. The coastal areas are screwed. They tried to evac, but, sadly, I think there will be many lost, mainly cause there's no good emergency broadcast system like the west has. So many will be surprised. Our prayers go out to all in the path. Boro Much Love, GOD Bless BoroBoro's |
