It's also worth noting that the above reason is why some people cling stubbornly to certain beliefs and become adamant about refusing to consider the possibilities. The constant need to tell others what their religion teaches and that everyone else is wrong isn't necessarily their fault as much as it is just the way that they've been thinking for so long. They truly believe certain things to be fact even when they can't explain where the source of their enthusiasm originated.

I can tell you one neet trick when it comes to women though. A child, teen, woman who is never happy, humble, caring, and loving will unwhitting give the world a clue even without opening her mouth.

If a woman has what I call the 'nose crinkle' between their eyebrows...stay away and never try to get close to them.

It's an involuntary facial reflex for unhappy, angry, uptight, "heavy bleeders"....to earn those anger wrinkels on their foreheads.

Divorce courts are full of them and once they have that wrinkle, it never goes away with a better attitude...it's a curse of life and if you get tangles up with people that have one, you will never be at peace.

This is why I keep to myself.Had one family member that I thought the world of but he decided money and living the good life was more important to him than what family he had left.
Once he made it clear he was ashamed of me because I have so little compared to him I pretty much just said to hell with trying to keep people in my life.I was heart broken and so hurt for awhile then I realized what a blessing it was to be rid of a materialistic ass such as that.Now he spends his time trying to impress people that dont give a shit about him in any way.I had cut ties with about everyone else but him at that point anyway so it was easier to adjust.
People in general just do not care about others.A very few still do but not many and its getting less by the month.

I'm not trying to be judge mental or anything, but I kind of believe people need to be careful about choosing a husband or a wife. Have something at least that you enjoy doing together that brings you together to spend time with one another. If you simply go after shallow qualities such as sexual appeal or materialistic qualities chances are you're not going to have a deep relationship and it will eventually end with heart ache.

Part of the problem. The rest is social conditioning. I live in Malaysia now. Each time I return to the UK I find the shallowness has got deeper, the decadence and degenerative behaviour too has got worse. It is spreading like widfire here as more and more people borrow money for status and appearance (competitive nature).

Vicious cycle of observation subconciously interpreted as a breach of trust manifest in visible behavior, reinterpreted as the social norm.

WE as a species are programmed to avoid deviant behaviour (deviant as in the 'outcrowd') it is a simple instinctive mechanism for survival/sharing/acceptance in the community. Therefore when one sees another doing something and not being castigated, punished or labled 'devaint', that other has a propesity to adopt the behaviour as there is little chance of retribution.

I personally think it has a lot to do with the Protestant Reformation in Europe in the 14th Century (think printing) that started this process in the western world - yes America had not been colonised then. Those who had access and control of communication, the Catholic Church had their economic and 'moral' monopoly broken as printing allowed for mass communication of alternate ideas.

The important thing to remember is some people are also loving, giving, caring, kind, funny, friendly, generous....human nature runs the gamut of emotion and feeling from birth, so there is somewhat of a balance.

My european friends are real friends, they call when things are difficult, they are concerned if they don't hear from me

Nearrly all of my US friends seem to be in a trance...either dazed and confused, depressed or they have become outright hateful and sarcastic, ready to make snarky nasty remarks if told of anyone's injury or personal tragedy

I think we are being prepared to kill each other, and be able to walk right past someone in need or pain, desensitized to everything but the most aggressive basic urges

soul and character are what you are when no one is looking, and I'm afraid very few see any reward for "doing the right thing" even when people ARE looking, let alone when there is no audience
