Great vid Pink Cat!

Interesting comments from that vid:

1) They seem to like this word INTERESTING a lot. As in the Chinese curse "May you live in INTERESTING times".

2) "Haven't worked out if this is a good thing OR NOT".

3) "More surprises ahead".

And to think I was getting depressed that Dec 21 was a noshow up to then!

This is the beginning of the end.

Pardon me, but aren't two of those articles from June of 2011? Seems like we've been in the cappuccino machine for at least a year and are still alive.

ISHTARS GATE?

Would this happen to be the same, highly chaotic "magnetic froth" which one sees developing as the total magnetic energy approaches zero.

18:20 GMT 12/21/12: The Canadian Red Cross has urged people to review their readiness for a disaster in light of the looming end of the world. "The Red Cross urges Canadians to be ready to take care of themselves and their families for 72 hours in any emergency," said Denis Dion, the national director of disaster management.

That's as far as the end of the solar system goes - that's not the main point.

The main point is that Space Weather is talking about the sun frothing TODAY.

I have never seen this before.

Has anyone?

No sunspots, just "magnetic froth":

[link to www.spaceweather.com]

The only other reference I can find to magnetic froth is magnetic froth found at the edge of our solar system:

Is this doomy or not, please?

Please explain. This sounds interesting. Spaceweather seems to make out it's no big deal.

Are you saying that froth create major CMEs?

None of the spots on the Earthside of the sun is actively flaring. Instead, they are frothing

Re: The SUN is FROTHING - Is this normal?
Highlights from

[link to science.nasa.gov]

The Voyager probes appear to have entered a strange realm of frothy magnetic bubbles,"

This is very surprising."

the bubbles are large, about 100 million miles wide

When a magnetic field gets severely folded like this, interesting things can happen. Lines of magnetic force criss-cross and "reconnect".

We are still trying to wrap our minds around the implications of these findings

----

It sounds like they know as much about magnetic froth as I do.

Re: The SUN is FROTHING - Is this normal?
no, not normal, the sun is sunny, and beer is frothy.

Perhaps it is dying, just before it goes supernova, i mean it has been unusually bright no?
