Walmart isn't freezing ammo. You can go there and buy any ammo they have. Very mis-leading title to this thread.

The problem is they can't get any ammo to restock. Its like that everywhere. Everyone is in the same boat. We are all being told Feb or March before limited supplies are sent out.

Do Americans still shop at Wal-Mart?

Folks, all that ammo has to come from somewhere. It doesn't just magically show up at the store. Rueger had to susspend taking orders for several months last year jsut to catch up on the massive amount of backorders. Could be the millions of people panic buying have milked the cow dry for the moment.

It's like others have said. People have been telling folks to stock up for years now. If you just decided to make a trip to the store, you have waited too late.

A little double-standardish there as if that hasn't already happened here in the states. Don't know about your area but in mine we've already got camera monitored bathrooms, dressing rooms, hospital emergency exam rooms and the list is still growing.

Are they still putting identifying tags on ammo? Did that stop? Is it going to resume?

Just called my local walmart, guy there is a Vietnam vet and "awake" and very squared away. He says that he has not heard of any official policy.

He says that he just cannot keep things in stock. As soon as the order comes in they are all sold. Had 100 rounds of .223 sold in less then an hour. Also said that he used to be able to get "pallets" of shotgun shells, now he can only get boxes. All his powder is gone, pistol primers are down to 500 and rifle primers are gone. good luck finding .22LR

That being said, he did not expect things to get any better and said that things are only going to get worse.

I served in the military and can your pea-shooter stand up against an m1 Abrams? How about a black hawk or apache?

My walmart never sold powder and primers ever. Didn't know that any of them did....That's news to me...

I think his point was that that 100 rounds was all they could get in an order and there were people waiting there for him to stock it.

Most if not ALL Americans cannot walk let alone MARCH at a pace more than half a mile without getting side aches.

I mentioned that people should wait till the prices come down after the panic. He said they will never go down. He noted the prices of the components and base metal prices.

He also noted how the economy is still in the crapper and nobody is talking about it.

This same guy has a network of vets that are prepared to lock down the whole state to keep outsiders out. Told you this guy is squared away, been in the game a long time, even casts his own bullets

This assumes that these trained soldiers will fight and kill their neighbors and families for a corrupt government. If you were to talk to some of these active and vets you will see they are for the most part awake to things

My business is in a plaza that has a Walmart on the opposite side. Easy peasy for me to report on whats what tomorrow.

The Second Amendment to the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution says the Right to Bear Arms shall not be infringed...it doesn't say anything about Ammo...

It will be interesting to see how people react to that...
