Re: Largest structure in universe discovered — it's mind-boggling
I bet that is an amazing sight to watch if there is any way to see it from a human point of view.

It's not mind-boggling it's the universe and the universe has many gems just waiting to be discovered. I bet there are more things like this out there than just this one or even larger.

Things like this definately puts everything in perspective though.

Well, no. I'm not the blue fairy, neither a Jinn or a Frog with magical powers. And it's unlikely that you will ever come across one of the above. So...how about you do something, instead of wishing? How about now, instead of tomorrow?

Right now.

Re: Largest structure in universe discovered — it's mind-boggling
Astronomers have discovered the largest known structure in the universe, a clump of active galactic cores that stretches 4 billion light-years from end to end.

The structure is a large quasar group (LQG), a collection of extremely luminous galactic nuclei powered by supermassive central black holes. This particular group is so large that it challenges modern cosmological theory, researchers said.

"While it is difficult to fathom the scale of this LQG, we can say quite definitely it is the largest structure ever seen in the entire universe," lead author Roger Clowes, of the University of Central Lancashire in England, said in a statement. "This is hugely exciting, not least because it runs counter to our current understanding of the scale of the universe."

Quasars are the brightest objects in the universe. For decades, astronomers have known that they tend to assemble in huge groups, some of which are more than 600 million light-years wide.

cool, I think the largest structures in the universe I learned about were super filaments. I think filaments where strings of trillions and trillions and trillions of galaxies. And super filaments were STRINGS of MILLIONS of filaments.

Think about that for a second. That is unbelievable.

Thanks man I was just making light of the discovery. Why are we here of all places! The entire universe is out there in multiple dimensions and we chose to reincarnate on this earth. I wonder why that is.

We're oppressed by a few dominant families here. This big beautiful world. A world that stuns me in every direction when you are out in nature. A world of infinite abundance that's stunted by manufactured scarcity.

How did it is come to this I wonder.

As for me I plan on getting the hell away from here after I die. My physical form that is. There must be something better than this. I want to connect to the source. We shouldn't be born and have to pay with blood sweat and tears just to live. There must be something more than this.

13.7 billion years

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

 Quoting: <<TIMEWATCHER>>

It's a common mis conception - the universe is this old yes. But it is far bigger than 13.7 billion light years across.

"...and that the diameter of the observable Universe is at least 93 billion light years or 8.80×1026 meters..."

So really, this object is small in regard to the size of the universe.
