NASA there may be 17 billion Earth-like planets in Milky Way

Can you imagine if .0001% of those planets have life on them and out of those let's say another another .0001% have intelligent life on them that still leaves us with 170 intelligent civilization spanning an 100.000 light year radius !

No wonder SETI has not found anything yet, probably there are a lot of civilizations in our Milky Way but they're spread too far away from each other for us to come into contact with any of them...so far !

Enough planets exist in the Milky Way to ensure that there is at least one for each of the hundred million stars in the galaxy, NASA has revealed.
Analysis of data from the Kepler space telescope shows that 17 billion planets in the galaxy are Earth-like in size.

The findings are making scientists increasingly confident of finding a rocky planet the same size as Earth, with a similar orbit and situated in the 'habitable zone' of a solar system.

That's interesting.. When was Pluto de-classified as a planet? 2008? And when do you learn about the planets in the solar system? 5th grade? So, OP is about 13 yr old.

Apparently, the Hubble Telescope can see a Minarette on two of them.

This is just another step in the direction of disclosure. There never actually will be disclosure about what they really know though, they'll just keep making "scientific breakthroughs" until the whole story is out.

Well, personally I still count Pluto. I also have an open position for a tenth called "Weird Shit" for stuff we somehow missed that is unobservable at the moment for whatever reason.

Now that I think about it... you're probably right ... but everything makes more sense now... like we live in this huge galaxy and we thought there were just 8 planets but now they tell us that there are at least 17 billion planets.... it is so interesting .... everything is much bigger that i thought and there are many possibilities.

Remember... this is only 1 galaxy also. There are billions upon billions of other galaxies in the universe.

It took 2.3 million years for humankind to evolve (if that's what you believe happened) from when the species "homo" which diverged from the apes.

Scientists believe the Universe is 13-14 billion years old.
