Star Trek Tards - The Complete Ferengi Rules Of Acquisition!
[link to projectsanctuary.com]

Ferengi are a species from StarTrek that was particularly highlighted in Deep Space 9. Their religion is commerce and their society is determined by profit.

The Ferengi believe that the universe is held together by the Great Material Continuum, also known as the Great River. The Ferengi believe that each part of the universe has too much of one thing, but not enough of another, and it is through the continual flow of the Great River that wants and needs can be fulfilled, if one navigates the River with sufficient entrepreneurial skill. By request and especially for Nicola, here are the complete Ferengi rules of acquisition.

Speaking for the current economy, it looks like the Ferengi are in the midst of taking over the planet! For example: Rule of Acquisition #26. The vast majority of the rich in this galaxy did not inherit their wealth; they stole it

"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth

And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe葉he belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address

Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests:

"Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world."

Commerce is historically impeded by central banking and communism while it bottlenecks transactions with taxes, fees, and a police state as it centralizes wealth and power.

"Commerce is the whole system of an economy that constitutes an environment for business. The system includes legal, economic, political, social, cultural, and technological systems that are in operation in any country. Thus, commerce is a system or an environment that affects the business prospects of an economy or a nation-state.It can also be defined as a component of business which includes all activities, functions and institutions involved in transferring goods from producers to consumer."

Since when is asking questions "mixed up?" I despise dangling prepositions.

2) Commerce is what drives the economy....and the fact that you had to look up a definition proves you are clueless.

Awesome thread OP, 5 stars for you.

Even though the Federation of the Next Generation Star Trek was an homogenized NWO nightmare, the writers and producers brought in the Ferengi as a piece of social commentary on the world as they saw it. Remember that this all started around the time of the Wall St crash, so the Ferengi tapped into the whole bankers are scum meme, which was nice of them. Like most good sci-fi, some aspects of the worlds they create are little more than a dressed up reflection of what's happening in our own world. The Ferengi were over-the-top just a couple of short years ago. Now they are not.

the rules are wrong, because wikipedia has a list of rules mentioned so far, which a) don't match up to these, and b) go up to 299.
