The Constitution does not give people rights to bear anything. The Constitution is a contract defining the gov and limits that the gov must abide by. The right to keep and bear arms by the people existed before the Constitution and is extraneous to it.

The 2nd amendment keeps the gov from infringing upon the already existing right to keep and bear arms.

The Constitution doesnt 'specify' anything in this regards except what the gov cannot do, which it can be argued the gov has ALREADY gone too far in this respect ...

Well then, in that vein, the lack of specificity simply means it is a wide open road to bear anything one wants. Specificaly for the protection from tyrany, or more specifacaly from Negroes who are a dangerous menace in America.
