First from SOuthwest, now it's North. Big trees falling down, roofs going up and away, rivers coming out of their beds... this is insane.

And PT media pretends this is a normal day! But looking at FB and Twitter plenty of pictures/videos proving this is bigger then 2009 storm!

There is a video from Nazaré, water flooding entire marginal street.

a tree went down in our area to, we are only running on half power..I hope they fix it soon.

Be careful. When it seems it is over, the real flooding begins as water moves downhill.

Flash flooding can leave a person stranded - many in automobiles have died in storms this way. . .

I am totally exausted.
I live in a small village near Agueda in Portugal.
The very strong winds and rain have caused imense damage in my area.
My fathers roof was partially destroyed by flying debris.
We had no power the whole day and driving in the local roads was practically impossible due to fallen trees.
I had to steal roof tiles to partially repair the damage as shops are closed today and tomorrow.
I hope the following days we have better weather.
There is much repairing to be done.

well, it seems like the storm is finaly over.. still raining but the wind is gone..

i'm in a small village in the region of Santarem, we dont have power since 11am.. during the afternoon we also lost cellphone signal for a few hours..

it's a weird feeling.. like we're back to stone age :)

in 30 years of life, i don't remember to have witnessed something like this..
the 2009 storm was big, but this was something else..

ok.. back to sleep, there's a lot of work to be done in the morning.

Climbers killed in Scottish Highlands avalanche as Europe hit by blizzards, snow

FOUR people have been killed and a woman is seriously injured after an avalanche in the Scottish Highlands today as the UK is besieged by once-in-a-decade snowfalls.

The snow and ice caused chaos for the second day in a row at various airports, particularly Heathrow which had to cancel 417 flights yesterday and another 111 today with many other short-haul flights disrupted.
