It is easy to measure the progress of technology,
but do we measure the progress of freedom the same way?

At the beginning the stakes of this fight were not made clear.
If freedom looses it becomes a slave to technology forever.
If freedom wins...you'll find out.

The supreme luxury of the society of technical necessity will be to grant the bonus of useless revolt and of an acquiescent smile.

Clearly on the side of freedom:

nature,
courage,
honor,
honesty,
morality,
friendship,
love,
and
free will itself!!!

If technology wins....

nature will fade away
courage will be devalued
honor will vanish
honesty will decay
morality will deteriorate
friendship will almost always lacks depth
and
love will become obedience

Would love to hear your input....

What are we more suited for,
technology of freedom?

I believe we are developing an environment
where technology can thrive, but not freedom.

If you can never reconcile the two....
Which one will you destroy?

Considering that most of the views on this post,
have been me posting,....

I am left to assume that no one here even has an attitude/opinion towards technology,

You gave up on freedom long before that,
and you have all subscribed unthinkingly,

come on GLP, I have faith in you,
apply your mind!!!

get in or get out

Technology, oh the progress it brings...

and social-decay...
but isn't progress inevitable?

Is trying to resist progress useless?

Re: Technology vs. Freedom - Round V
Technology is mad and destructive
seeds planted long ago
disturbing and obvious
i don’t want the easy solutions that technology provides
i am not a cowardly servant

I opt for:
The totality of life on earth,
free and wild
independent and courageous

Are these words just
barren thoughtless
action less text
on a techno screen?

Or does something happen?

Well if the machines don't get buried and burnt up by the earth's core, then the sun will take them out. So in the end, technology never even began to put up a fight. Biotechnology, technology capable of self-repair, self-programming, and loving is far superior, stands the test of time, doesn't need technicians to repair it, and is far more beautiful.

The ultimate equilibrium is in nature.

Technology will always alter the equilibrium of nature.

Without technologies' existence, homeostasis returns to nature.

Now, throw humans in the mix, who come into existence as a creation on nature....

Nature was at one point the central structure of culture
Now
Technology is the central structure of modern culture
