I am a pensioner on an income of £600 per month that leaves me about £200 a month after bills and expenses (although price rises and inflation are gradually reducing this figure) I am worried about stories about gold price fixing and would like advice about that subject as well. Many thanks April |

Philligan in rainbows User ID: 2530194 United States 01/29/2013 05:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | April yes, also buy silver. I actually prefer silver right now because it is easier to accumulate. Doesnt take up as much space etc. you can buy a little of both uncirculated and just regular rounds or 10 oz bars. I have a lot of silver and gold but most recently began collecting graded silver. Pf 70 Ms 70 etc and Morgan Silver Dollars. It is a very fun hobby and keep in mind that you are not spending money frivolously you are actually buying money so to speak if that makes sense. Most online companies are overpriced but they have great quality products. If you have a local coin shop I would go there for your volume buys while sticking to the online places for your top line buys or collectibles. THey are expensive but check out Apmex: [link to www.apmex.com] Its like a kid in a candy store when im on that site Last Edited by Philligan on 01/29/2013 05:25 PM Pray for Us Sinners Now and at the Hour of our Death |

(I am very new to this) Do you mean that if i offered gold, most people would be unsure of the value (as i am) BUT the ordinary bloke on the street would be able to rate silver in value. I dont know the term seakers BUT i guess they are like the adverts on tv that know the real price but are hunting for people desperate to sell at a low price ? Thanks so much, April |

Many thanks April 1) Don't expect people to give you full value for your gold in a SHTF scenario. 2) Gold was confiscated in the 1930's Depression. If you purchase it now, there will be records of those purchases and they will potentially use them to collect the gold....again. "In 1933, at the height of the Great Depression, the U.S. Government, under the Gold Confiscation Act, confiscated gold money from its citizens and replaced it with paper Federal Reserve Notes. It became illegal for individuals to own gold, except for small quantities that coin collectors and dental practitioners could hold. This alone eliminated the public’s capacity to hold government inflation of the money supply in check; they could no longer redeem inflated paper money for gold."
