More and more evidence is coming to light. It's only a matter of time before we have 100% proof and christianity will be gone forever only a part of history.. The designers know we are getting close, but don't worry they've got something installed for us (pun intended). I bet they find us close to discovering the truth to be very amusing..

And in spite of it all everyone still wants to ascribe some grand significance to it. God did this or that and we have to do certain things to get to heaven or hell or some such.

The stupid theory of evolution is dying fast.

The idea is basically saying that "we" set up this world to work well enough that we would be convinced that it's real while it still has the right degree of flawed logic for us to believe there's more than just what we can feel and touch. In other words, we would need clues that are so abstract that we can only follow them by intuition.

We need to doubt that we are "God" (or whatever name you wish to designate to the source of our existence) for us to fully enjoy this figment of our imagination. It's like watching a movie you've already seen... you can't relate as well to the situations the characters are in once you know the ending.

I hope the creator has a good virus programme installed or we are all fk'ed.

I haven't got to read the article, but I couldn't agree more with the findings. There have been writings talking about this for quite some time now that talk about the virtual reality around us, but is great to see that step by step science comes to support this.

Evolution still has merit, but maybe species only evolve to a point where they no longer have to adapt, and has a "perfect" vessel/body for their life cycle.

some religions share the point of view of the simulated life here, they just use different terms and words to describe it, but it seems very similar.

In Genesis 1:26 God seems to suggest that we live in a simulation of a real world with the words: "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness." On Simulation-argument.com Professor Nick Bostrom argues that at least one of the following must be true:
- The human species is very likely to go extinct before reaching a posthuman stage.
- Any posthuman civilisation is extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history (or variations thereof).
- We are almost certainly living in a computer simulation.

Based on the argument above, it is likely that the universe is a virtual reality. Humans have an inclination to build simulations. It is also likely that humans developed an advanced civilisation that is able to build virtual realities long ago so humans are not likely to go extinct before reaching a posthuman stage. There have been billions of years in which humanity could have become an advanced civilisation that is able to build virtual realities, so the likelihood of humanity entering this phase in this specific timeframe is small, compared to any timeframe in the past. It is therefore reasonable to assume that we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation.

The assumption that this universe is a virtual reality can be supported with the following findings:
- Technology like the holodeck appears to be feasible less than a century from now, while humans are inclined make virtual realities with simulations of humans. Billions of virtual realities like this universe may exist, so it is unlikely that this universe is real.
- The existence of synchronicity and coincidences indicates that there is a script behind all events.
- In a virtual reality supernatural and paranormal events are possible.
- In a virtual reality miracles are possible that seem to defy the laws of nature as have been described in The Bible.

The assumption that this virtual reality is owned by someone we call God can be supported with the following findings:
- In Genesis 1:26 God seems to suggest that we live in a copy of a real world with the words: "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness."
- Even though there have been thousands of gods and goddesses worshipped in the past, none of them presented himself or herself, except one.
- It is unlikely that by pure chance a religion of a small and often dispersed people survived for more than 1,500 years and then became the basis for three major world religions, while it has been foretold to Abraham that all the peoples will be blessed in him (Gen. 18:17-18).

Yep, when I look around, I coundn´t agree more.

As far as the creator of a creator, that's a whole other discussion. One line of thinking is that there are infinite number of "creators" and that there has never been a state of "nothingness". It's a paradox, sure, but so is the existence of infinite even though we can conclude it is real through basic geometry. All that is to say that this article is merely focused on what we are doing right now in this universe.

The "space" is not physical. When you dream, does that world require actual space?

You are making the case that God made this universe as a simulation....basically an idea I think all christians can agree with - since we are SPIRIT beings, living in a HUMAN body - essentially living out a simulation of being real.

Secondly, to your last point: The Bible was carried down in folklore for thousands of years before being written in words, and yet essentially is the same story from beginning to end. Over 40 different authors, three different languages, over 1,500 years to complete it, and yet it has the same underlying theme. Other "holy books" of other religions have basically the same general "story" written in them as well, and some of the same "folklore." A flood. A very important holy man coming out of heaven. Giants inhabiting the earth once upon a time. An end time battle and the final winner is one who will "return"....

Coincidence? Prolly not!
