There is no stopping this & it will NOT end well. When BP drilled the Macondo Well they fractured the Louann Salt Layer & destabalized the Methane Hydrate Layer. This dissaster is truly beyond the comprehension of the vast majority of People. This "gas leak", the Macondo Well, the sink hole & the bubble sites around the baou(?sp) are all symptoms of one MAJOR catastrophy slowly unfolding & when it finally goes.......she's going to go BIG! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 219210 I had a nightmare about a potential Gulf disaster that felt all too real. We had a well drilled when I was a kid, and remember the ground shaking under my feet when they hit a pocket of gas. Oh shit for real. This is beginning to creep me out. |

Not sure how the mechanics of it work but if they pump water from the Gulf to cool down the engines and the water is full of oil and plugs up the syatem then maybe the result is that the engine catches on fire. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9316729 . That's an intriguing theory... No its not. First off he did not read. Its gas and the Cruise ship was not anywhere around that area. Do you think these boats get to sail right up to a platform and say look mommy its a drilling rig. Fuck you people. Engines are not water cooled in those things either. Get your facts straight before you mouth off next time. Ahh yes they the do you ever fish along the pylons of a rig some of the best fishing the gulf. Granted a cruise ship that size wont get up close a personal. And yes every boat and ship has heat exchanger raw water on one side sea water on the other and in fact oil will plug one and cause the SSDGs to over heat along with propulsion motors been there done that. Thanks for your input. So my theory may not be as far fetched as the other guy seems to think. It doesn't make it fact but it is not out of the range of possibilities either. . |
