The protest doesn't stop.This is just a little victory.

As a person who is not Bulgarian but who lives in Bulgaria for years and loves this country, I can say that Bulgaria passed thru a LOT of trials on her chosen way towards the EU membership. Now a full member of the EU it is more desperate than ever. Haven't done statistics myself, but it is hard to believe that even 50% of the Bulgarians expected that the EU entrance will make them poorer not richer. No one expected that. Not even the people who were against the EU.

Now the next government goes in the history. But who will make the difference? The next elections will be again agitation and propaganda, but for what real ends? If you love to travel by train, take the train from Budapest to Sofia to notice the difference country by country. Even Serbia that is out of EU looks better.

I just hear on the TV quoting some Czech newspaper that the Czechs would not give money to "every Balkan gangster who wants them". Shame!

Greece riots again. Perhaps Greece and Bulgaria could go together out of the crisis. Aren't they both in the EU and share common border? Where is EU at all when it comes to the common people's real everyday problems? I don't see the EU in Bulgaria. Except for a very limited number of rich people hidden behind blackened windows of most expensive cars.

We was united in YU, but America needs Kosovo, Croatia for NATO, Bosnia for who knows who...Slovenia feels same as you do, we here kinda started anticoruption program, but we still dring poisoned milk, which means that we still are under some sick money freaks.

I'd imagine some conversations with military leaders might also be prudent... If the government has already accepted defeat, there's no need for rioting and violence. Install your own leader until elections.

It's usually the loudest voice that people will listen to. That's not necessarily the best choice though. Loud people aren't usually very humble. That's an important trait for a good leader.

Tearing apart government buildings would only damage your cause. The infrastructure is already in place, all it needs is a new direction.

I would ask the Czech "comrades" who now behave as more Western than the Westerners: how did the world react when they did their own transition to democracy and to a much wealthier society? Czech and Poland are the richest among the ex-socialist republics, due to many factors. So now they can forget the poor neighbor. You know, the history never goes one sided only, the politics of the day does, but not the history.

The EU could pour into Greece billions. How couldn't it do so for a tiny Bulgaria with ...now 7 mln people if not counted the immigration? The long reports of EU commission always quote organized crime, that the money disappear, and so on. So why don't they deal with it finally? What profits the common citizen of all that? I listen the politicians on the TV and at one moment I stopped it. No one said: I will rise the salaries and cut the bills. This way leads to a disaster, much bigger than Bulgaria alone. And the history of Europe knows of such disasters not that long ago.

BTW, I just learned that now there is a movement to keep the current government in place. There are going to be protests against the resignation in some cities. WTF? I think the movement is coming from the party itself and some of the sheeple are following.

Yes, that's true. The mafia ain't giving up so easy.

However on Sunday the protests continue. People demand a new constitution, to be reduced the number of the people in the cabinet. They want the whole political system to be changed to a new one as same as possible as in Iceland.

I dont understand any kind of demand for things and I certainly dont understand why people riot.
