The government has tons of money to spend on these things, and the more companies that refuse to sell, the more money those do sell make by selling to the government. I suspect most of these companies are doing this for publicity purposes until the anger wave blows over, or are just quietly selling to government under the table while stating otherwise. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31197155 The federal government have contracts thus you re correct and will have no effect on government entities however states do not operate in the same manner and will look for the lowest bidder for each purchase. However long this list grows means that those companies still selling to states such as New York will be purchasing from companies that can increase their profit margin in these states trying to arm their police forces. Perhaps it is a great reminder to these states that we do have a Constitution and many still value principles in which our country ws founded. |

The cheapest I can find bulk .223 ammo online is .90 a round right now There are different reasons for the cost of ammunition and perhaps the most important has been the federal governments purchasing for its different agencies. This tactic gets bullets out off the market and out of citizen’s hands forcing prices to go up as the manufacturers try to keep up with the demand. Have you looked into reloading perhaps you have interested friends or family to offset the initial costs of the reloading equipment. |
