HolyDiver I had a family member perish from the effects of metastic breast cancer that spread to her brain. I watched first hand how the chemotherapy and radiation treatments reiked havoc on her body and diminished her quality of life. I know now that the chemo & radiation treatments served to weaken her immune system and likely facilitated the spread of cancer through her body.

If you had a family member experience this and new there was a natural plant that had few & marginal side effects and could provide much needed relief and inhibit the growth & spread of cancer cells and prolong your family members life - how would you feel about the federal government or any politician or pharmaceutical company telling you that your family member should not have access to the substance because they stand to profit from withholding it from the public?

I think it's a crime and an absolute travesty. Government and private interest groups prove time and time again they are not in the business of promoting individuals well-being and saving their lives, only profitting off of them. They don't care about people dying or suffering, only the dollar signs.

Both of my in-laws went through Chemo and Radiation at Henry Ford Hospital and, four years later, are going gangbusters. Hair grown back and leading an active lifestyle at age 80-something.

I'm watching Tony Iommi, Founding Member and lead guitarist for Black Sabbath, go through it somewhat publicly, and though he's gotten frail and lost his hair, he's finishing a new album and planning an Australian tour.

On the other hand, you had Ronnie James Dio diagnosed with cancer, gone through the treatments, and dead six months later.

Your emotions try to make you feel better about your loss. But the reality is you can't save everyone, even those who have the money and resources to have the finest treatment.

I'm sure Ronnie James Dio had three dozen people tell him, every day, that "Pot cures cancer" and I'd bet the farm that he tried it. Still dead.

What about Steve Jobs? How did the alt.medicine work out for him?

Robert Randall had severe glaucoma but the other 13 patients who qualified for the program suffered from a variety of others conditions and diseases. If you only focus on the glaucoma you lose sight of the issue at hand. Irv Rosenfeld suffers from a condition where tumors grow at the end of all of the long bones in his body and exact pressure on his joints & muscles and produce extreme pain. Should he be forced to use an alternative treatment or prescription drug to treat his very serious condition when he has found that marijuana works effectively for him and with little side effects?

First of all, I'm both guys. My wife and I both took Chantix for about Two Weeks and had no side effects except some fun dreams which we might've had anyway, who knows?

You're a tard, because you don't even know how it works. While you are taking it (Your terms) you still smoke. You're supposed to. You keep taking it until you realize one day that you don't need to smoke, don't want to smoke, and would rather do just about anything else but smoke.

That's it. Both of us have not smoked so much as one hit off a cigarette since then, and we stopped taking it about a week after we stopped smoking, just to be safe. We didn't have weight gain, mood swings, anything of the sort. That was over two years ago now. You could not pay me to smoke a cigarette, and when I see people smoking, I wonder how I ever convinced myself to be "that guy".

What is a Chantix? It's a blocker. It blocks your nicotine receptors so you no longer gain any benefit from a cigarette.

I can tell you that the marijuana you described existed in the mid 80's, but by the mid 90's Marijuana was jacked up beyond recognition.

dude i dont know who you got your pot from...but what i have gotten doesnt have an extract added to the bag...its not debilitating as i know several people who smoke and clean,create art,have fantastic in depth conversations...here is something you need to understand..if you smoke and sit on your ass, you were most likely a lazy fucker to begin with...the pot doesnt make you or not make you do anything...im a get high and clean kind of person...also fantastic intelligent conversations...all that you lay on the pot really should be laid on the already lazy ass's of society.
