The Ego, The Devil, Satan, The Flesh, Primal Instinct, Pan, Prometheus, Lucifer, Liberty, etc., etc...

These are not 'entities' (things with distinct and independent existence.). They are 'beings' (the qualities that constitute an existent thing). They do not come from 'outside' of the human psyche, they come from the INSIDE. Most of these 'beings' are 'contained' within the 'hormones' (Greek hormon, first used in English in 1905 to describe "chemical messengers (angels/daemons)") of the endocrine system and are controlled by the hypothalamus and pitituary glands, which some occultists call the eye of Lucifer/Prometheus/Pan, or the "3rd Eye". This is the physical element of the human anatomy responsible for evoking 'spirits' (emotions, motivations, impulses) from the subconscious (underworld) when certain criteria is met. Hormon means to "Rise, Evoke, Assault, Impulse, Stir Up, Rouse", etc...

You all sound so superstitious in the way you understand these things... The enemy is yourself—your 'animal' self.
