It must be stranger than any of us can imagine. Quoting: King Felix My instinct tells me he has an ace up his sleeve that is outside the paradigms of U.S-S.K military planning and expectations. I'd say that SAC would be ramping up its alert level tomorrow morning. "Who Dares Wins" |

The likes of which will have an outcome, for better or for worse who knows. Are we expecting something BIG this weeek? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2911653 Sometimes North Korea is only talk. Other times, they're action. See below. The Rangoon bombing of October 9, 1983, was an assassination attempt against Chun Doo-hwan, the fifth President of South Korea July 7, 2003. North Korean troops open fire at the DMZ around 6 AM. The South Korean army reports four rounds fired from the North and seventeen from the South March 26, 2010: A South Korean naval vessel, the Destroyer “Cheonan”, was sunk by a North Korean torpedo near Baengnyeong Island in the Yellow Sea. November 23, 2010: North Korea fired artillery at South Korea's Greater Yeonpyeong island in the Yellow Sea, killing civilians and Marines. On March 30, 2013, North Korea formally declared war on South Korea, cutting off all hotlines and severing all non-aggression pacts, including the 1953 Armistice. That doesn't sound like "just talk" to me. Last Edited by The Tauremini on 04/08/2013 11:45 PM "Who Dares Wins" |

This article is probably pointing out something that is translated strangely. Or LiL Kim is out shopping for new shades for the nuclear burnout coming his way. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1185588 The funny thing is, they've always warned SK through their media outlets. It's just the timing of the attacks that have been random. For instance, they'll threaten something on January 1, and attack in August. They're unpredictable like that. "Who Dares Wins" |

It seems to me the slightest miscalculation could set this off. :) |

They cannot fire a ballistic missile. The only way they are some kind of nuclear threat is if a bomb was inside the hull and they used the sub as a suicide bomb. And since they have only 1800 nautical mile range, and a top speed of 9 knots, they are not going to try to sail one to North America. They'd have to surface so many times to refuel that they'd be spotted and sunk. |

I was just tired of everyone getting their panties bunched over the subs, when the only folks that should be worried about them are sailors on ROK or USN ships near Korea. |
