Honest Question - Why was the Navy Seals at the Boston Marathon. Pin Maybe for more responces?

They weren't. It was private security. A lot of times cities will subcontract security for events like that so as to not have to take too many cops away from their normal duties. A lot of servicemembers are employed by private agencies after they resign/retire from the military.

Fyi the pic everyone is up in arms about was taken after the explosion.

Odd coincidence that the private security guys had backpacks that looked like the one one of the bombs was in.

Also what's up with the radiation detector one of the security guys was carrying.

Why a radiation detector at a footrace?

I wanna see the receipts from the city of Boston or whoever hired them.
