In the book there was a war and the USA lost against Pakistan. As a result the US had to submit to a global rule. Kids used computer tablets in school instead of paper books. Parents were limited to 2 children unless they showed high aptitude. Ender was a "third." Orson Scott card is a visionary. Buggers are some bad-ass aliens- hope they make them better than the bugs from starship troopers. Cant wait for the movie- should have been done years ago. |

The Guy User ID: 5145260 United States 05/07/2013 08:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is a fantastic book. Written a long time ago. If your looking for propaganda this isn't it. If anything, it's an anti-war story, especially if you read the sequels. Quoting: Ninja G 39298031 Oh, no, you missed the point. War is, indeed, sometimes necessary, but it really sucks for the participants. It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |
