I had just watched the weather channel and nothing over Colorado and then a few minutes later this radio report comes and all these clouds come right over the area?

Real high winds with clear blue sky before.

I think it is the day after tomorrow TODAY!

Drought be damned, Colorado wants to take water into its own hands. As the Rocky Mountain News reports today, the state is at the center of a plan to seed the skies with enough water to re-charge the Colorado River system.

The cloud-seeding program is controversial and critics say it could prove too expensive. But, it's still exciting to water managers and here's why: the Rocky reports,

"States that rely on the river estimate that more than 1.1 million acre-feet of new water, on average, could be generated for the entire region each year, according to the cloud-seeding analysis."

I used to do snow surveys along the Continental Divide in CO. There are so many factors that need come into play for a good spring runoff.

If there is 3 feet of dry snow that contains little moisture content and produces little or no runoff....and if the ground does not freeze before the first snowfall, then whatever does melt in spring gets soaked up into the dry ground.

Cloud seeding is a necessary solution to drought in those off years when conditions are not conducive.
then..

In your opinion, is this episode of flooding caused by cloud-seeding?

Re: They just Broke in on local radio>>Flood warnings
update......no rain or snow here just high winds and a very short chemtrail in the small blue sky area.....major dark water filled clouds all around my area..weird like a circle around me and closing in now

very odd storm.....I have been here for years and this is a little weird....oh well like they say....don't like the weather wait 5 minutes

this maybe just a spring storm.....I just thought it weird as it was all blue sky and showed clear on weather channel radar and then the break in on radio warning of flooding.......so I go look and all clear and a few minutes later strong winds and clouds cam circling my area??

I will report if anything more strange happens......maybe nuttin

Cloud seeding over the rockies will cause another dust bowl for the plains states.

The flood warnings may only be as a result of increased snowpack melting not some phantom storm that doesn't appear on radar.

Re: They just Broke in on local radio>>Flood warnings
Well it sure looks like a mean storm out east and north and west of me.....now it has cleared again into like a circle of blue sky about15-20 miles around....

look out Nebraska and people out east this looks real bad.....not one drop of rain or any snow and temp. is still 38 with the winds.....like being in the middle of a huge tornado??

I just went and looked west which is in the foothills and it is mean about 2 mile away from me.....I guess I am in the eye of this storm.....
