President and Mrs. Obama are planning a trip to sub-Saharan Africa later in the month, but the White House has scotched a plan to include a Tanzanian safari on the agenda after a reporter revealed that a team of snipers with high-powered military assault rifles would accompany him in the wild.

Wasn't there a report of the Muslin Lawyers Association of Johannesburg calling for Obama's arrest in South Africa for committing war crimes? Anyone remember this? Could this be the real reason for canceling the visit? Saving face with the lion story? Maybe it's too dangerous for him in SA. I really have no idea. Someone with more knowledge weigh in?

The Muslim Lawyers Association (MLA) in Johannesburg has submitted a 600-plus page document to the Office of the National Director of Public Prosecution calling for the arrest and prosecution of President Barack Obama when he visits South Africa later this month.

The submitted document calls for authorities to “arrest Obama when he visits.” The group says Obama has ordered drone strikes that killed innocent civilians, warranting a formal investigation.
