Can a 19 year-old be a 23rd degree freemason?
I was recently at a party, where I found myself in a long religious conversation with a 19 year-old who originally identified himself as a baptist. Later that night after he had more than a few shots of whiskey, he admitted to being a 23rd degree freemason, and tried to recruit me to the organization. (With utter failure.)

Is that even possible? I thought the freemasons usually only accepted older, more well-to-do type individuals. Isn't the 23rd degree kind of high for someone so young? I could use some GLP wisdom on this, as its been occupying a lot of my mind lately. I'd like to know if he's really a freemason, or just some stupid, drunk kid. He was very specific with some of the things he said...

It depends if the masonic line runs through your family or not. Children who already have high degree parents, can enter way easier than some kind of stranger. So logically they can also climb the latter faster.

Anyway, everything beneath the 30th degree is garbage anyway. Just misguided information.

I talked to a 20-year-old guy about a year ago who was the top mason in the country, a rothschild, part of the active illuminati, and living in a trailer in the middle of the desert and hadn't bathed in a month.

So yeah, the moral is, it's easy to talk shit.

I went to a masonic lodge and inquired about joining, they seemed interested in letting me join. I never followed up on joining though. The lodges members mostly consisted of business owners from around town. My grandpa was supposedly a 32nd degree mason, but they took all related material and his ring back when he died.

Bullshit. You can go to these meetings they have for younger men as soon as you turn 13. Anyone can gain masonic rank if deemed worthy. But you have to prove yourself if you plan on becoming a mason with degrees before the age of 21

Yes it is easily possible especially if he goes Scottish right. Technically it's possible to be a 3rd Degree (Master Mason) on Friday evening, go to the Scottish Rite Valley for a Reunion on Saturday morning and that evening be a 32nd Degree Mason. The 33rd degree is different and must be bestowed by honor from much service inside the hall and the community.

It might depend on which country you are, the lodge and rites they follow. As far as I know, here, the requirements for acceptation are the following:
- Being a male and over 18
- To declare the names of your enemies if you have them
- To swear loyalty to the lodge
- To swear to the secrecy of all affairs related to your activities as a mason

It does not say a thing about masonic family members giving some sort of edge on other members. Also I can assuredly tell you that those who say it's easier to climb up by being the son of a high degree member is bs. These societies place the fraternity between members above blood relations and the members aren't allowed to share secrets even among their family members, the only way the sons of high degree members may have some edge his by having some sort of broad guidelines their fathers may provide them providing they do not break any secrecy rules.

the 33rd is just that you are a god.the secret of secrets.
we are all children of god so we are gods in training.
even a 32nd didnt know this nor was willing to accept it .that i visited with.
just be willing to put your ass on the line by fucking a dead chick or other disgusting acts so to be admitted into the gang.
hang together or hang separately.
basically corruption and a fancy funeral.
