What about the Moon - is there something out on the web that can give Earth and the Moons relative position during the passing of the Comet ? I figure a hunk a Moon is just as bad as a piece of Comet.

Looks to me like the data on the link given is an error.

This page from the same site has the closest approach at 0.0867 AU or 33.7 LD.

0.0001 AU = 9500 miles or so

This is NASA's way of telling us they have been wrong on there calculations, not much room for error anymore.

That particular frag should miss by about 9800 miles. Bear in mind that is NASA's take based on todays data. For even the most skeptical...still might be a good idea to visit the supermarket on 5/10.

Sorry but the first is the only one where nominal an minimum differ by a factor of 1/900, all others differ by a fraction of that only.

It's an error, they just forgot to type it in that "minimal" field there.
