Druidism, which Wiccan's claim to emulate practiced child sacrifice. Wiccan's will do the same if left to their own devices.

Yes, like all false religions, Wicca is satanic and is designed to ravage your soul.

And Christians would go around slaughtering those that disagreed with them if left to their own devices... Like they did until the last couple centuries.

Re: Is Wicca evil?
Wicca is kind of a philosophical / theological Swiffer. Sometimes a practitioner rises above it. And becomes what? Evil? Not hardly.

Certainly only as evil as the Christians I have known who use their religion to exact the utmost from those in their employ and then again to keep from rewarding those same people.

And sometimes I see in Wiccans a glimmer of a more holy spirit than that of the churches that have asked me to leave because of the clothes that I wear.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5846208

The Christians you know sound like false Christians and there churches are what you would call organized religion not really true Christianity!! The biblical definition of the Christian church is "the body of Christian believers" not some stupid building!!

True Christianity is not a religion! It is a personal relationship with the living GOD through Jesus Christ in prayer.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59644025

I have a personal relationship with the creator (creator>created), and it has no relation to the bible.

What do they do that is evil?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33144679

wrong would be more the term for it,

let's see, stay ignorant
worship creation over creator
use rituals for gain, even though it may hurt someone else like bend their own wills against each other

It's just wrong. All are wrong. Now like a clock though, there is one right and the rest are wrong. Now guess what core part is right of one religion. But all religions are tools used wrong. WRONG.

No. Christians stole 1/2 of their religion from wicca.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53337336

And half from Mithraism.
 Quoting: Thistle

you're both wrong: satan always counterfeits...

wiccan is just another Babylonian flavor... and if you get anywhere with it (start accessing real power and bling) you will end up within the pyramid system of control or you will have problems... it's not like anything you do is secret: there are "spirit demons" all around us all the time...

[link to ia701209.us.archive.org]

wicca itself is what the Romans practiced... based on how they treated each other, I would bet that practicing it can lead to extreme evil...

there are many reports of people who join a wiccan group having great difficulty getting out when they want... be very careful if you choose to dabble...

Turn to Jesus for a way out. Odd how that works. Jesus is the Law.

why worship the created when you can pray to God direct?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59661716

Actually, you're wrong. Christianity was just a mash up of previous religious systems, written in a way to garner the support of the lower classes to allow the elite to more easily control them.

Re: Is Wicca evil?
Wicca is not evil and it is not connected to the satanists. They love the Creator and the Creation and respect the forces of the elements. A good book to read about various modern pagans is Drawing Ddown the Moon by Margot Adler.

The real devil worshippers are not connected to these people, I have been under attack my whole life by evil forces and possessed people, but never by the pagans. They are gentle, tolerant, loving people that believe the creation is sacred.

Those that are killing in the name of God are serving the devil. Please respect life!

Re: Is Wicca evil?
Well, it's page 3 so I'm too late to be read or understood.

Nevertheless, if it helps one person:

Wicca is evil because it is a practice of taking matters into your own hands to achieve ego-based goals.

Let's pretend Wicca was about ensuring the crops will be bountiful, which is what you hear all the time about the source of Wicca. Well, the first thing we notice is that we do not trust God to provide for us. We do not trust that if crops *ARENT* bountiful, for whatever reason, that there isn't a greater purpose behind it in the grand scheme of things.

Therefore, Wicca is a reactionary practice driven by fear, envy and mistrust of Creator. This alone tells you who THEIR God is, the God who thrives off of fear.

One who is in touch with a benevolent God knows, for a certainty, that God provides. Needs are covered and wants are materialistic and envious.

This is why a proper prayer is always a prayer of thanksgiving, and never a prayer of request.

Re: Is Wicca evil?
Alright /thread

Wicca is not paganism nor is it anything more then a selling gimic to the naive.

Neo and reconstruction paganism are not the demonized slaughtering barbarians we;ve been told. Fact they were more prosperous and effcient then the Catholic empires that sought to stamp out any free thinking or freeform religion.

The reality is Good and evil are non exsistent in the natural world, we only observe chaos and order.

The young halk fights in the sky with the old halk for territory and thus, niether are evil they just are just as it all is.

No creator, just creation.

Oh and just a reminder that hellenistic pagans brought us the most advanced and free society before catholicism ( which is just a control mechanism based on fear ) adopted the traditions of the surrounding peoples as thier own. This is why everyone has to constantly remind chritians and catholics thier religion is just a modification of germanic and celtic paganism, it is not a religion onto itself. It's very foundations are built on pagan principles and truths.

Re: Is Wicca evil?
Question: "What is Wicca? Is Wicca witchcraft?"

Answer: Wicca is a neo-pagan religion that has been growing in popularity and acceptance in the United States and Europe. There are many websites and books claiming to teach “real” Wicca, but the truth is, there is no consensus among Wiccans as to what the religion is all about. The reason for this is that Wicca, as it is practiced now, is only about 50 years old. Wicca is a belief system that Briton Gerald Gardner cobbled together in the 1940s and 1950s from a variety of religious traditions and beliefs as well as Freemason rituals. Since Gardner published several books espousing his system of worship, many offshoots and variations of Wicca have sprung up. Some Wiccans are polytheistic, worshipping more than one deity, while others worship only the “God” or the “Goddess.” Still other Wiccans worship nature, and call it Gaea, after the Greek earth goddess. Some Wiccans pick and choose parts of Christian doctrine to embrace, while others totally reject Christianity. Most practitioners of Wicca believe in reincarnation.

Most Wiccans will vehemently deny that Satan is part of their pantheon, citing major doctrinal differences between themselves and Satanists. Wiccans generally promote moral relativity, disdaining labels like “good” and “evil” and “right” or “wrong.” Wicca has one law or rule, called the Rede: “Do what ye will, harm ye none.” At first blush, the Rede seems like complete, uninhibited personal license. You can do whatever you want, as long as no one gets hurt; however, Wiccans are quick to point out that the ripple effect of one’s actions can carry far-reaching consequences. They articulate this principle in the Three-fold Law, which says, "All good that a person does to another returns three-fold in this life; harm is also returned three-fold."

One major factor that contributes to the abiding fascination with Wicca is the purported use of spells and magick (a deliberate misspelling intended to separate Wiccans from magicians and illusionists). Curiosity seekers, as well as spiritual neophytes, are most eager to delve into these mysteries. Not all Wiccans practice witchcraft, but those that do claim magick is to them what prayer is to a Christian. The difference between the two is that Wiccans claim magick is simply using their minds to control matter, or they are appealing to their favorite deity to do them a favor, while Christians call upon an omnipotent, omnipresent God to heal people and to intervene and work in their lives. Because the Rede disallows witches from hurting others and the Three-fold Law spells out the consequences for Rede-breakers, witches who practice magick prefer to call themselves “nature witches” or “white witches” to further distance themselves from Satanists.

Wicca is basically a religion that is about minding your own business and living peaceably with your neighbors and environment. Wiccans are eager to draw parallels between themselves and biblical Christianity for the sake of earning credibility, but what does the Bible have to say about this religion? You won’t find the word “wicca” in the Bible, so let’s evaluate the beliefs in light of what God says about them.

Wiccan spells are idolism—Romans 1:25 says, “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things, rather than the Creator…” Who wants to settle for second best? In Isaiah 40, God paints a picture of how much greater the Creator is than His creation. If you are worshipping anything besides the Creator, you are not only spinning your wheels, you are guilty of idolatry.

I have some good friends that are wiccan. They definitely are not an evil bunch - actually if anything they are a bunch of bunny huggers. The believe that the earth and creation should be taken care of (not bad thinking). They don't believe in Satan at all, in fact they believe Satan is a Christian made to scare the people into worship.
I don't think I have ever heard or seen a bit of mean or ugly come from any of them

Monday - Moons Day - Pagan observance of the moon
Tuesday - Tyr's Day - Norse god
Wednesday - Woden's/Odin's Day - Norse god
Thursday - Thor's Day -Norse God
Friday - Frigg's Day - Norse Goddess
Saturday - Saturn's Day - Roman God
Sunday - Sun's Day - Pagan observance of the sun

January - Dedicated to the Roman God Janus
February - Februa, Roman purification ritual
March - Dedicated to the Roman God Mars
April - Attributed to Venus and/or Aphrodite
May- Dedicated to Greek Goddess Maia
June- Dedicated to Roman Goddess Juno
July- Dedicated to Julius Ceasar, dictator of Rome
August- Dedicated to Augustus, Emperor of Rome

Christmas - Pagan celebration of Yule (Yuletide sound familiar?)
Christmas Tree- Germanic pagan ritual
Mistletoe - Norse ritual for Frigga
Wreath - Various pagan celebrations
Gathering around a christmas fire- Burning of the Yule log
Singing carols - Yuletide pagan custom

Halloween - Pagan celebration of the fall harvest
Costumes - Pagan use for hiding identity during celebrations

Thanksgiving - Multiple pagan celebrations

Hell - Hel/Helheim adaptation of Norse mythology

Your middle eastern cult merely adopted the European lifestyle. Damn near everything you do and say has some ties to paganism. Every time you celebrate some holiday like Christmas or call out a day and month you are giving remembrance to a multitude of religions that existed WAY before Christianity. If you live in Europe and even in some parts of the U.S. you live in areas that are named after pagans or pagan name in origin.

Everytime you talk shit about pagans or paganism you instantly become a walking hypocrisy because society as a whole never shed its past of paganism. Hell, even the basis of Roman/Greek/Early English law centred around the customs and views of PAGANS.

Ultimately Christianity filled in the gaps of whatever it could to blend itself into early European life. That's the only way Christianity was able to flourish while Islam, a religion that refuses to mix with other cultures, failed to take hold without conquest.

So keep talking shit. If Christianity never tried imitating pagans or pagan customs it never would've been adopted as the official Roman religion.

Re: Is Wicca evil?
A little reminder for you militant Christians who talk shit about your pagan origins.

All these are? The Natural Law of CAUSE & EFFECT.

Really very simple. If people would only just "get it." What a truly amazing productive world this could be. No need for greed or power over others. We could all just be and be happy, healthy and what HUMANS were meant to be. Instead MAN messed it up for greed and power.

idealistic thinking, but it can never be... not here on earth, or anywhere in this galaxy...

it is wise to understand - physical existence is flawed by design... the intention is not to continue the game - it is to recognize the game for what it is, recognize who you are, complete your experiences, and move on...

simple to understand, challenging to do...

Ahh but I know different. It absoulutely will happen on this Earth. It is the Golden Age to come. Just waiting for more to get it. At some point more will get it than don't and it will be ushered in. In our lifetime more than likely. I have known this for 37 plus years now. There will be a point where there is no denying it. Even those who think they know have been blinded. Self included. The only thing I know for sure without any doubt is what is to come and what I have yet to experience but know that I will in the time constraints created by this existence. I know what is coming. Nothing to fear. We are closer to the end of great fear than the beginning. Once of many deceptions. Things that people believe are just beginning are closer to an end.

to want something to continue, in what you perceive as a better light, to me, demonstrates a person not ready to end their part in the game...

nothing wrong with that, you have to do what you have to do, in your own way, and your own time...

If you are referring to the history of the Roman Catholic
Church, then you are referring to a counterfeit version of Christianity to control the Roman sheeple. The Roman empire did not create Christianity.

True Christianity is a personal relationship with the living GOD through Jesus Christ in prayer, period!!

The true Christian church is "the body of believers" not necessarily some club house sheeple run to every Sunday!!

Until you recognize the golden rule you will never move on, life is a "game" of experiences and challenges and whatever journey your sould has chosen for you in this existence, it is your challenge to overcome all greed, hatred lust materialism fear poverty oppression etc... When you can live by the golden rule in every moment you breath you can take the next step...

Simple concept, incredible challenge!

what is your definition of the "golden rule" ?
