All of Lebanon will be liberated including Shebba Farms, along with Golan, and the West Bank, and Gaza. Then Israel can have peace. |

Ningishiddza User ID: 124957 United States 09/01/2006 05:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's pointless and nothing more than posturing. The president can federalize the national guards and there is nothing that can be done. Like I say, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. Those who believe the national guards are militias are sadly mistaken. You can read the bad news in the appropirately named Dick Act of 1905, which formalizes the national guard and transfers control to the federal, or excuse me, national government. Who's next...I'm betting New Hampshire, I'll put 10 rolls of toilet paper on New Hampshire... any takers? Quoting: Dale GribbleNew hampshire?...Vermont maybe would be dumb enough to send a pointless bill like this to the legislature, but not NH... Do you know anything about New England? |
Peter User ID: 136259 United States 09/01/2006 07:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Who pays for a state's National Guard troops? The state or the feds? If it is the state, then that state stil has ultimate control over their troops. Can't send 'em anywhere if they have no food, no gasoline, no supplies. Whoever controls the pursestrings controls the army. - Peter |
