Child prodigy explains mysteries of the universe
A schoolboy from Russia's southern Krasnodar Region has rocked the world of science with his findings in astronomy. Andrey Khlopin is only ten years old but is already listed twice in the Guinness Book of Records.

It was a meteorite falling near his village in the Krasnodar Region that captured the imagination of the then four-year-old Andrey and he's been hooked on astronomy ever since.

At the age of nine the child prodigy disproved a 150-year-old theory that explained the creation of the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

“The scientists used to have two theories. According to one, it was a planet. The other one stated that it was an unformed planet, just some space debris. But my theory shows that it was a planet that had several satellites,” said schoolboy Andrey Khlopin.

His friends call him ‘star-boy’ - but to his father, a military pilot, he's just an ordinary child, whose talents need to be developed.

“Time will tell whether he becomes a scientist, an Academic or a Nobel Prize laureate. What’s important to me as his father is that he'll grow up to be a real man and a man of honour,” said Andrey Khlopin’s father.

It usually takes Andrey around 15 minutes to do his homework. Then he prepares to give his next lecture.

The Kuban State University can't legally appoint the boy as a teacher, so they pay him 1,500 rubles - a grant that only the best students receive.

The boy says that one day he'll become an astronaut or a test-pilot like his father. But for now, he's happy constructing small rockets and launching them from his schoolyard.

It is good to give encouragement to school boys no matter how inconsequential their "discoveries"

As did I.

From time to time news like appears briefly about children.
Sadly, they seems to disappear and nothing further about them surfaces.

It would seem that they become "absorbed" into the "system" and are "converted" to the "use" of the powers that be....Unless they can escape and vanish, they are tracked (and "guided") for the remainder of their lives.

Look up MENSA, Cerebrals Society, Epimetheus Society, Triple Nine Society, Prometheus Society, International High IQ Society, for starters.

That's interesting. Somehow Richard Hoagland has been telling a similar thing for a long time.

Prodigy? Just a child who has a vivid imagination. He cannot prove what he fantasizes. People mistake genius for someone who merely speculates about things at a level above that normal for his age. Science is more than that. Perhaps he will discover that one day.....

Hmm, I think you are wrong. Actually, you can find many evidences for supporting one or other theory in the trajectories of the asteroid belt objets, in the anomalies of these trajectories, and in the anomalies of the planet trajectories, the mass of the objects, etc, etc, This has been postulated many times and the evidence sustains perfectly the idea of a planet once in that orbit. With more time and resources, a model would be developped to explain exactly what happened.

Re: Child prodigy explains mysteries of the universe
well..not much difference between the exploded planet hypothesis and the exploded planet w/ several satellite hypothesis..does he think that the inner planets were once satellites of the exploded planet?

I also have always thought the asteroid belt was the remains of an exploded planet..I mean it makes sense..and yes..I have though about such things since about the age of 9.

Re: Child prodigy explains mysteries of the universe
The fact that the asteroid belt came from an exploded planet is obvious. There is olivine rock in asteroids. That is only formed inside planets. There is evidence of sedimentation in others. You don't get sediment in naked space. The one sidedness of the impact cratering on nearly all moons and planets is another obvious evidence of a planetary scale explosion.

Granted he's a smart kid. But stating the obvious should never be regarded as genius.

CRAP!

IN ORDER TO PRONOUNCE A CHILD A PRODIGY, THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WHO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CHILD SAYS IS THE TRUTH, SO WE DON'T NEED THE PRODIGY IF WE ALREADY HAVE ONE, AND WE DON'T NEED THE PRODIGY WHO PRONOUNCED THE CHILD AS A PRODIGY BECAUSE NO ONE ON EARTH KNOWS OR CAN CONFORM THAT EITHER ONE OF THEM ARE PRODIGYS.

evolution loves dummies, as a quick glance at the world around us will attest to. okay, once in awhile evolution messes up and produces a genius or prodigy, but i think it's inescapable that mediocre minds are the rule.
