Someone brought up something I had never heard of...if in the garden of eden animals had no fear of man because they were not eaten...is it possible they were still tame during the ark times?

This is a most fascinating thread. I'm glad it was resurrected (pun intended, I guess). I have heard of the Book of Enoch, but never had a chance to read any of it, nor hear it. Thanks, EWO! Thank you to the participants, too. This is great stuff!

Yes it is a "too simple" of an answer? I just can't imagine how God moved snakes, leopards etc. from all around the planet to where Noah is.

My dad when he was alive wrote "The Book of the Secrets of Enoch" in the 60's you won't be able to find a copy because it is out of print, which is bad. The illustrations in the book where awesome. Maybe you might be able to find some black light posters of the illustrations that are very valuable now.

I think you're working with some faulty starting assumptions. The antediluvian world was a much different place from what it is today. Yes, there were "gatherings of the waters" called "seas" (Genesis 1:9-10), but there were no vast oceans. Those are simply left-overs from the Great Flood.

God did not create all the animals in the geographic locations where they exist today. All the animal biodiversity of creation existed in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:19). Koalas and kangaroos and sloths did not need to cross any oceans at all; they were already within the general vicinity when they needed to board the ark. It wasn't until after the Great Flood that the animals spread out to their current habitats, where they would later be isolated due to a number of geologic catastrophes, which continued for quite some time (and continue to this day) due to the devastation of the Flood.

You can't use the present world to judge what the world was like before the Flood, simply because things have changed so much. The world that then existed has perished (2 Peter 3:6). Take the scar down the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the Ring of Fire in the Pacific, Mount Everest, or the continent-spanning catastrophic flood deposits we call the "geologic column"; none of these existed before Noah's day. Even the very soil of the antediluvian world has been reduced to metamorphic rock under the weight of all that upper-mantle/lower-lithosphere sediments that washed over the planet when the "fountains of the great deep" burst open (Genesis 7:11).

God had no problem gathering all the animals to Noah "from all around the world" because they were NOT "all around the world", but all close at hand. Noah had no problem fitting them all into the ark because it was so big and because he did not need to take on board every "species" (a very recent and arbitrarily narrow human-defined term). He only needed highly heterozygous representatives of the various gene pools in order to preserve the seed of all the land vertebrate kinds (Genesis 7:2-3). There should have been plenty of these so close to creation.

That is correct. We are told all scripture is given by inspiration of God (2Tim.3:16). If Jude quoted from the book of Enoch; then this verifies God's approval of the Enoch book. God would never allow his word to be part of the Devils work!

After receiving this short Prophecy, I was left totally exhausted and dizzy for about three hours. The Power of the Holy Spirit must really be shaking the spiritual world. The spiritual warfare is still intensifying each day. I must praise the Lord here, for I have no idea how I am holding on. At times, I feel like a mad dog pulling on a raga, and other times I feel like a mad dog running with his tail between his legs. All of this spiritual warfare gives me a spiritual rush, but I know it’s nothing that I am doing in the spirit or in the flesh.
