Beingsouthern User ID: 113248 United States 08/17/2008 12:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i read that Pitbulls is a very instictive breed, and Chow Chow is pretty tough too. What kind of temperament would the mix of those breeds make, what do you think? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 466162Yep...both have the potential to be tempermental. Neither are good with kids. I wouldn't own a mix of those two dogs...not with kids around at least. |

himself User ID: 486164 United States 08/17/2008 01:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Both of those breeds are agressive. Dangerous mix imwio. I will not have a ChowChow for any reason/ too likely to bite people and get you sued. Pit bulls are bred to love to fight. Owners make them dangerous to people. My pit bull loved to get his tummy tickled. He loved people but also loved to fight with other dogs. His constant companion was a doberman. They ate and slept side by side, and fought all day long like the 3 Musketeers. A pet/friend Minnesota timberwolf would watch them fight. bark out and both would sit. He would get up and touch noses with one of them. They then went through the fight again with the wolf taking one part and showing what they did wrong. He then sat and watched again as they repeated the sparring, doing it like he had shown them. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 434311 United States 08/17/2008 09:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | She is VERY loyal and territorial, and doesn't really like other people at all. She tried to bite my mother for hugging my man. Luckily, she doesn't have the jaws of a pit bull! The best trait of the chow and mix is they tend to stick around, patrol small area types. |

ChevyGirl26 User ID: 527233 United States 10/15/2008 04:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a pitt chow mix and he is the best dog I have ever had. he has the protective instinct of a chow, very loyal and loving, but will definitely protect his family. I have 3 young children that have been with him for over a year. Never ever had a problem, besides the normal pitt bull licking! lol |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 466162thank you That's a good question. Shar-pei's tend to be quite possesive. I have a Shar-pei/Lab mix which makes for a great temperment for some reason. Enaid User ID: 515273 United States 10/15/2008 05:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I personally wouldn't own that mix. But alot has to do with the owners and the training or lack there of - that the dog receives. I've known chows that were awesome cuddly things. My last dog was a mutt with chow in him - he was awesome. Neighborhood children would knock on the door to pet him. But - trained to alert. Damn scary then. LOL Personal responsibility - try it sometime. Quit blaming others for your bad choices. Consequences happen. :enaid11: |
