When they come for your Guns...

People often falsely judge someone because they don't look at their situation from their perspective.


First they came

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

Then they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
I did not protest;
I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out for me.

When they come for your guns will you just give them up because the police officer asked you to. Will you then just comply because the cop is just doing his job.

The responses to many of the threads about the Gates incident has showed me that many of you will do what you're told because the cop is just doing his job. A lot of you believe a cop has the right to arrest you if you dare speak up about a perceived injustice.

I admit Gates was asking for trouble by talking smack to the cop. However the cop had no right to arrest him. For those who think he did, then why were the charges dropped almost immediately?

A lot of you talk a big game from your keyboards. But this incident just goes to show that when the time comes many of you will just comply. In fact I'll take it a step further and say many of you will probably help round the "troublemakers" up.

I don't think that subject for that guy and that cop match this subject of patriots and gun ownership and the mass rounding up of guns and/ or another situation of chaotic martial laws.

The "talking smack" certainly goes on all over the net forums.
I think glp goers are some of the least smack talkers
For all the funning and jokes I have no doubt that GLP visitors are some of more responsible gun owners.

I think they are some of the most responsible action takers when injustices occur.
