Anyone else into Currency trading?
Anybody else out there in GLP land who is into the Forex market? I see mostly threads about the stock market. It would be nice to have one about the Forex market for those of us who trade currencies.

And my 2 cents for arguments!

Hi,
I've recently delved into the fx markets.I could make you a millionaire! no problem. All you have to do is do the opposite of what I do and you will become rich. I have this uncanny ability to change markets at will. For example I will notice an uptrend for days make a trade and the second I do that uptrend either reverses or goes into consolidation and then reverses.I've studied all the indicators and have come to the conclusion that they are meaningless, nothing can tell the future.I have not given up and I am determined to beat this thing.Oh, by the way how are you doing in your fx adventure?

Hmmm, something tells me forex trading is a very sketchy choice of investment, tread carefully. i have yet to have enough money to be comfortable enough to take the chance of losing some in markets.

Re: Anyone else into Currency trading?
Over the counter forex trading is a scam.
The money is not segregated, it is all in one big brokers account.
And he will trade your own money against your position in order to keep your deposit.
And also alter the spread constantly so you can never profit.
Currency futures on the other hand are segregated the broker doesn't have access to your money, they can only take out fees and losses and add profits after the trading day is through.
Currency options the same, they cant trade your own money against you.
But, they can trade against you with their own money but anyone can do that.

LOL

I mainly use candlesticks as indicators. Nothing is 100% accurate but if you stick to what has the highest probability of happening you should do ok.

I've been at it for a couple of years now. Before it was mostly long term, now I am range trading. Entering and exiting a trade in the matter of days maybe weeks if I got in at the wrong time.

I don't know about all that. I trade directly within my bank account, which can be held in all the major currencies. I've looked into online Forex accounts but decided to stick to using my bank for various reasons.

Re: Anyone else into Currency trading?
Hello Friend, I've been playing the gold and silver shares [slw, kgc, auy] for about 10 years. I'm wondering if you think all currencies will devalue to gold, and if so, why play a sinking market? Thanks.

PS: real job is school teacher. market just a hobby!

Re: Anyone else into Currency trading?
I'm studying it at the moment.

Interested in trading English Pounds and Japanese Yen.

Using the candlesticks, too. I have a good friend who's doing very well with it.

We'll see, I'll keep you updated when I get started.

I don't think so. But if that did happen wouldn't that mean all paper currency would be worthless?
