been reading about this all week... they also found stolen school equipment at his house, and he had been told to remove SETI before and lied about doing it. He was the #1 SETI contributor in the world (his SETI account name is "NEZ"), by like 4x over other large projects, he started doing this back in 2000.

they're billing him for almost every maintenance cost of the last 10 years, including A/C bills and replaced hardware, for like $1.5mil. if only they could teach the kids to turn off the computers at the end of the day...
