[quote:Nick the Greek 26453219:MV8xMDI4NTA1XzM0MTQ4NDAwXzU3NzZEMDNG] The area we know today as FYRoM was actually called Vardarska Banovina. It was in 1945 that Marshal Jozep Broz Tito, the communist dictator ruling Yugoslavia, converted a province into a republic, naming it the "People’s Republic of Macedonia." In 1963, the name was changed to the "Socialist Republic of Macedonia." After 1944, a systematic campaign was initiated to adopt for usurpation, the history and heritage of ancient Macedonia. Slavist orientated revisionist pseudo-historians from the "People's Republic of Macedonia" were commissioned to re-write history, to include ancient-Macedonian history according to the wishes of the League of Communists. From since 1945 onwards, the peoples of FYRoM have learned to use the Macedonian name for self-Identity, but the name is Greek...it belongs in the Greek domain. Greeks have been using that name from since the times of King-Karanus, they are not prepaired to relinquish their usage of it in order to appease the Slavs of FYRoM. Slavs are no Macedonians...they are a different race to the original Macedonians. Macedonians have always been Greek speaking Hellenic peoples, evidenced in the overwhelming massive stock-piles of historical data recorded for posterity in the long established mainstream historical narative. FYRoM's ex-Yugoslavs should respect their Slavic heritage and leave the Macedonian one for the Greek-Hellenic peoples, the rightful custodians and sole-legal inheritors of it. It doesn't take the Greeks to expose FYRoM's ethno-racial Slavic origins. The Yugoslavian Military Encyclopedia lists the ancestors of FYROM as Slavs, peoples of the first Slavic tribes of the Brsjaci, Draguvati, Smoljani, Rinhini, Velegiziti and others, that arrived in the area during the top-end of the 6th Century AD. The history of the Slavic inhabitants of FYROM goes hand in hand with the history of the Bulgarian peoples, right up to 1913, for they started together by fate and they were forced to separate by politics. The present day Slavic population of FYROM has nothing in common with the ancient-Macedonians. They are Slavs, a totally different race! [/quote]
