[quote:Anonymous Coward 941663:MV8xMDM1Njc2XzE2NDE2MTQ3XzY5NENDMEFG] [quote:Anonymous Coward 940733] What was the name of that movie where a group of girls goes spelunking and encounter these awful looking "things" and all kinds of human skeletons that were killed and ate by the things ? One girl was lying on the cave floor at the end and the audience never knew if she dreamed it all or was still unconscious in the cave with "things encircling her ? I'll bet they will run into some of "them" in their dig toward the center (which is hollow, don't you know?) Anyone know the name of that movie... it was scary, bad.
sounds like it could be a good movie This article is talking about going deep
The deepest man-made hole on Earth.
Over forty years ago, researchers in the Soviet Union began
an ambitious drilling project whose goal was to penetrate the
Earth’s upper crust and sample the warm, mysterious area
where the crust and mantle intermingle– the Mohorovičić

Russian scientists had to invent new ways of drilling, and

the valiant effort which spanned several decades, the
Russians never reached their goal, and many of the Earth’s
secrets were left undiscovered. The work done by the Soviets
did, however, provide a plethora of information about what
lies just beneath the surface, and it continues to be
scientifically useful today. The project is known as the
Kola Superdeep Borehole. The Russian researchers were also
surprised at how quickly the temperatures rose as the
borehole deepened......................
