Original Message A few mornings ago my internet just disappeared...poof!
My son was on his computer using the wireless router, I got up, turned on my computer and couldn't connect to the internet. I asked him what was up and he said it was working fine for him.

I called Hughesnet twice but they said it wasn't their problem.

My Local Area Connection just up and disappeared off my computer.

I'm still wondering how that happened???

Anyway, I called Gateway several times.
They sent me a link to download a driver for the LAN.
This is where my computer savvy stops lol.

The file comes as a zip and you're supposed to unzip it and and when the box comes up click run.

That never happens.

It never appears as an exe and that box never comes up.

Any suggestions as to what to do?

I have never had this happen before. Does anyone know where my LAC went? How did it just delete itself off my computer?

Any help would be most appreciated!!
