SEOUL, May 26 (Yonhap) -- North Korea told South Korean government personnel Wednesday to leave their joint factory complex in the communist state, an official here said, as tension flares on the peninsula over the sinking of a South Korean warship in March.

Unification Ministry Chun Hae-sung, however, said that the eight South Korean officials told the North's authorities that they could not leave by the noon "deadline" because they needed time to pack up.
