[quote:domesticangel:MV8xMDc5NTY3XzE3MTgwNjQyXzE4NkNENUUx] [quote:Bugbomb 832050] With all the trouble they've been having around the border...wtf would you need to fish in that particular lake? I mean is the fishing urge so great that you must endanger yourself and others just to fish there? I bet if they looked reeeeeeal hard, they could find other lakes. That said...I thought most Texas outdoorsmen carried weapons??? :hunter: WTF? So it's the VICTIM'S fault for getting robbed or murdered by MEXICAN drug gangs on American sovereign territory?! According to that logic, if a woman goes to the mall, gets pulled into a van in the parking lot and gang-raped by Illegal Aliens, it's HER fault for not carrying a gun or a can of mace with her. That's is some FUCKED UP logic that you have there. .
No dipshit. Maybe you should read the article before you speak. "It worries me," the county sheriff tells ABC. "There are fishermen out there who are coming face to face with pirates. Even if they resist a little, they may get shot and killed. "When this happens on the Mexican side, we have no jurisdiction—we can't even go get the bodies." The sheriff has urged Mexican authorities to step up patrols on their side of the lake. Part of the lake is on the MEXICO side. You go into their territory...
The best bass-fishing lake in America is being terrorized by Mexican pirates. Several American boaters on Falcon Lake, which straddles the US-Mexican border, have been robbed in recent weeks by boatloads of armed Mexicans believed to belong to the Zeta cartel. Most of the incidents have happened on the Mexican side of the lake—which American boaters are being urged to avoid—but there has been at least one robbery on the American side.
