I know for a fact that it's harder for them to spy on us (hear and see through the walls) when there is lead based paint. The older the house, the more likely there are several layers of lead lining those walls. I grew up in some really old houses, with chipped lead based paint, and lots of paint dust. The medical community has never found high traces of metals (re: lead) in my blood, and I'm pretty smart, so it hasn't affected me like they claim it does. What I do know, is that our previous house, built in 1907, had several layers of lead based paint, and if you wanted to use a cell phone, you had to either go to the big bay window (nearly hang out of it) or go outside to get reception. Nothing wireless worked unless you were in a direct line of the equipment (wouldn't travel through the walls or ceilings). [/quote]
