Greenpeace says that officials knew about the contamination in early March, but that because of bureaucratic delays farmers are only now being warned. "This is the biggest GM crop scandal in Germany to date," said a Greenpeace agriculture expert, Alexander Hissting. [/i] [/quote]

As to how does banned GMO crap get into the ecosystem and CONTAMINATE all the other plants...this should clarify the never ending problem.
As it has now happened in Germany. I remember when Argentina had the GM/GMO/ foods outlawed in their country and AMAZINGLY THE TAINTED SEED APPEARED OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN-with the Natives trying to remove the stuff and bag it to keep it from contaminating all Native plants-
They were overcome and now much of their seed comes from the dreaded monsanto...forced to use it...and buy all the pesticides and fertilizers and forever pay.
Seems the terrorists are sly with their salting of the fields...whether they be here-when introduced in 1996 or creating havoc in Argentina or Germany-follow the money-can it be any more evident?
"A genetically modified (GM) variety of maize banned in the EU has been sown accidentally across Germany.
The NK603 variety has been planted in seven states. The seed supplier, US firm Pioneer Hi-Bred, called the level of contamination "minute".
It is not clear how the mistake occurred, but it could cost farmers millions of euros, as crops will now have to be destroyed."

When will the arrogance of a few be replaced with reason???
Destroying the planet for so-called "profit", which is worth little when they are selling everything else out.
