Original Message It's a free country, so I thought, what the hell. Worst I could get is hung up on.

I called a couple of people on Grande Isle and NO I won't release names.

They were very pleasant and kind folks and I told them I was just a private citizen. They said that the beaches are closed and BP isn't letting anyone out there. They didn't say who else might be out there. I didn't ask about military presence. They said there's no fishing, but their families are doing well so far, not sick yet. They said they haven't heard of any arrests, but they are frustrated and worried.

I told them what we are hearing and that we are praying for them and hope they are doing alright.

I worry for them. They were really nice people and you could hear the strain in their voices about what is going on down there. I don't think it hurts to let them know we are praying for them and thinking of them kindly.

Everyone better be nice or I'm gonna be really mad if you call someone down there to scam them or act stupid. Don't do it or it's on your own head. Be Nice so this can stay a free country and we can check up on folks without them being too scared to talk to us. BEHAVE! That's an order from MAMA!

Just letting you know.

Quit being so scared. We are all in this together and we need to help each other. Why not? That's the great thing about being an American.
